dreaming about having a lucid dream

I had a dream last night where I had some level of lucidity...I was in a parking garage on the second floor and I decided to close my eyes and 'manifest myself onto the first floor'. when i opened my eyes I was on the first floor. then I went into a building and I think I wanted to find a gun and go around killing DCs. then a DC I was talking to before enters and I say I've changed my mind, I want to do something more positive with this dream. around there I wake up. so you can see this dream had a lot of aspects of a lucid dream, but I didn't have that feeling of hyper-realism that I normally have in an LD, and I didn't do any flying which I always do in an LD. do you ever have a dream like this where it almost seems like you're dreaming about having a lucid dream but it's not quite a full-on lucid dream itself?

I call these "crappy lucids," "kick myself lucids," or "lesson lucids." I think the third term is most appropriate. What do you think you did wrong? I say you didn't stabilize or truly realize what lucidity means while in the dream. I suggest making a note of your dream goals every time you do a reality check in real life, even though they fail. Also, when you reality check, be sure to take in your surroundings. Make it apart of the whole reality check routine, and a higher and more satisfying lucid will follow in your dreams.

i once dreamt i was in my house trying to have a wild and i sat in my bed and i closed my eyes and went to a different scene at night. I then looked at my hands and became lucid. Not sure how long it was i was just standing there looking at how amazing the sky looks in a lucid then i woke up back in the non lucid

The worst mistake you can make is to think you're alive when you're really asleep in lifes waiting room.

It happens to everyone I think. Just be glad that lucid dreaming is in your mind enough for it to show up that way; maybe next time you'll be totally lucid.

I wouldn't really call that dreaming about a lucid dream, just a wasted lucid dream D=

now this is really dreaming about a lucid dream - in a dream, lay down in a bed and induce a WILD. its will be the most trippiest and the easiest WILD ever! My body felt like it was electricuted then tossed down a worm hole and back out again. I fell out from a worm hole in the sky and I flew out into one of my more vivid dreams. Too vivid I thought, I could feel the leaves as I flew past them.
