I call these "crappy lucids," "kick myself lucids," or "lesson lucids." I think the third term is most appropriate. What do you think you did wrong? I say you didn't stabilize or truly realize what lucidity means while in the dream. I suggest making a note of your dream goals every time you do a reality check in real life, even though they fail. Also, when you reality check, be sure to take in your surroundings. Make it apart of the whole reality check routine, and a higher and more satisfying lucid will follow in your dreams. |
