      refection in mirror...

Has your mirror reflection ever been perfectly fine in lds or regular dreams?? Because from what I've read here they are supposed to be messed up.

I have done mirror rcs in lds and there was always someting wrong with my reflection. But one time I was lucid and my reflection was perfectly clear and accurate. I stared at it for several seconds, then right before I looked away the reflection's eyes went all the way black, which really scarred me.

Also whenever i saw my reflections in regular dreams they were messed up. Now in some of my regular dreams, my face is also just fine in the reflection.
My main rc is plugging my nose.

I"ve had perfectly fine reflections before in both types of dreams. But yeah, a majority of the reflections are off somehow.

Seems I'm usually plastering on makeup when I'm near a mirror in regular dreams. In lucid dreams my reflection and I aren't the best of friends. Mirrors are a tricky thing in dreams and I never know what to expect when I encounter one while lucid.

I usually look like me, but I'm not in the same position that I am on the "real" side of the mirror. That's what allows us to reach through them.

During a LD, if I look into a mirror, I will try to focus on how normal I can look.
I make eye contact with myself, but it is like staring at a different person, someone that only resembles me. Its kind of creepy.
Mirrors are helpful if I become someone else, I can look at the new me and be sure that I get it right.

I will either look severly deformed, invisible, perfectly normal (this has only happened once) or someone completely different will be staring at me

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

This thought occured to me, I will try next time I have a lucid dream (soon I hope), I fear that my reflection will scare the shit out of me though.. or it will look crazy and I wont even realize it and continue with my stupid non lucid dream lol.

Edit: So do you guys use this as a RC or when your already in a LD for shits and giggles?

I've had a couple of mirrors that doesn't show my reflection, I haven't seen any with a proper refelection of myself.

Actually, I have a minor phobia of mirrors (brought on by the endless horror books I've read and horror movies I've seen, probably)... but strangely, my reflections in dreams/LDs have always been perfectly normal! Huh! Explain that!

In my last lucid dream, I looked in the mirror, and I looked completely normal. I only wish I had tried to go THROUGH the mirror in my lucid dream, that would have made the dream more exciting!

Mirrors are tons of fun. I've had 'em in all kinds.

-Harry Potter mirrors (you see what you want, suddenly it materializes on the other side)
      -Normal mirrors (boring)
-Mirrors with other people in them
-Mirrors with your 'subconscious' (it looks like you, but it doesn't mimic you. It may speak!)
      -Mirrors without reflections...

I looked at myself through a mirror in a dream once, I had the same hair style that I used to have when I was a kid, I thought that it looked kinda cool, so now I have that hair style most of the times.

I've only ever seen my reflection in a mirror once in a dream when I was about 17 years old. My reflection looked exactly like me except that soon after I began to stare my reflection started to talk to me. She told me a riddle which still puzzles me to this day: Name two things that are the same but has two different names. There in lies the answer.

Never figured out what the hell it meant. Only time I've ever seen my reflection in a dream.

I've only seen myself in the mirror once during a lucid dream. I looked normal, apart from the fact that the reflection was flipped horizontally (if I moved left my reflection would move right ) - kind of like a video camera and display. I wish I'd tried to climb into the mirror or something.

In my lucid dream my reflection was perfect. When i reached out the metallicness grew onto my fingers.. i ran into the mirror and was in a box, with no way out.

i tend to avoid mirrors in dreams now. the last time i encoutered one in a LD, I was in someone elses house. I found the mirror and looked inside. the guy in it looked like me, but didnt do what i did. And he had a creepy blank face on when looking at me. I decided that it would be cool to reach inside it or sonmething. so i reached out, touched it, and it shattered. I thought oh s**t! someone is going to get pretty mad at me for this. And of course since what you expect to happen happens in dreams, i had a gang race in through the back door and start chasing me. I ended up losing lucidity, and it turned into a pretty sad dream about my mom being dieng or something

so i just avoid them now. stupid things. they take a perfectly good lucid dream, and turn it into a sad story

I tried that once, but I just crawled into the same room I was just in. I was kind of dissapointed.

I finally did this in an LD, I was in a bathroom that had mirrors all over the place and I looked normal but the reflections were jumpy and almost like a different world it was really neat.

the reflection tends to be physically normal, but what the reflection depicts is out of this world.

in one dream i looked into a mirror and my reflection was as if i was dead and in the first stages of decomposing, my skin was green and missing patches all over my face. it scared me so bad i woke up heeh.

in a lucid dream one time i looked in a mirror and there was a hall of mirrors effect in the mirror (even though there was no mirror behind me) but in every iteration of reflection i had a different face, but all of them i looked really twisted and angry so that scared me too.
Paprika: Don't you think dreams and the Internet are similar? They are both areas where the repressed conscious mind vents.

John Lennon: I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now? Reality leaves a lot to the imagination.

All my mirrors show someone from the 1800s. I have no idea why.

I think next time I see a mirror I will try going through it. I have never done that before.
