I was just wondering how you all stumbled apon lucid dreaming? Also why do so few people know about it? |

I think there has been a few threads about this: psychology class. |

A post on a completely different forum. |

I first went on LD4all at first. I became a member there last summer. I knew about lucid dreaming since 2006 I think. Honestly, I don't remember how I came across it. I have just been on and off the past two years. |
|
I think most people who LD (including me, until a week ago) have been LDing all their life without knowing what it was called. |
|
I bet people have had lucid experiences before, but don't know that you can induce them. |

I fall into the category of been experiencing it for years but didn't know there was a word for it, and a way to consciously achieve it. |

"“Evil? Good? These are merely words. In the eyes of the universe neither of those exist. There are only three elements, that act as a base for all that you see around. There is Light. There is Dark. And there is the balance between those two. Good and Evil are concepts, used to deny oneself from serving the balance. By serving, you participate in the great creation."

I experienced LDing once a few years ago, but back then I didn't know about lucid dreaming. |

DILD: 6, WILD: 1
I had one about 2 years ago and finally decided to research it |

Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
I don't really want to bump the old thread so... |
|
I've been LD'ing my whole life accidently without knowing there was a name for it, or even that everyone didn't do it. I always assumed it was normal. |
|
I became lucid. |
|
I honestly don't remember. |

I decided to check out the Paranormal board on GameFAQs, there was a topic on lucid dreaming and whether it was real or not. In that topic was a link to a website, which I forget now, which in turn linked to LD4All I think. I think I then searched Google for lucid dreaming forums, or something. |
|
I was surfing the internet at work. Looking at 4chan. I was in the /x/ paranormal board reading about someone's experience with SP. Someone mentioned lucid dreaming, so I did a Google search for lucid dreaming forums and found this site. |

In dreams of unspeakable joy—of restored friendships; of revived embraces; of love which said it had never died; of faces that had vanished long ago, yet said with smiling lips that they knew nothing of the grave; of pardons implored, and granted with such bursting floods of love, that I was almost glad I had sinned—thus I passed through this wondrous twilight. —George MacDonald

A few years ago i had an OBE and got interested in stuff like that. I did a research on OBEs and APs and i stumbled across a lucid dreaming website. I loved the idea of controlling my dreams and searched for more info on it, so i joined ld4all about 2 years ago. |
|
That special on ABC about it, believe it or not i somehow never heard of it before that. |
|
That is a very good question... One night I had a dream where I knew it was a dream. I wanted to know what it was called and I ended up here! the end! |
