I get this too Normally it'll be accompanied by tripping on something and falling down in a vague dream. I've heard of this feeling having something to do with astral projection, though I'm not sure...For the first second or so when this happens I'm still paralyzed and I'm flailing in the dream, and then my body wakes up and I jerk like that...Scary but funny at the same time
