There's a lot of anecdotal evidence for this. Consider the movies where you see someone waking up in a cold-sweat repeating some emotionally-charged statement even as they regain consciousness. |

This happens at least once a week...I'll be talking to a DC, usually in a loud voice in the dream ,and may even be screaming or yelling (consider gunfights), and there's something important I have to communicate but I'm also waking up at the same time. I'm strangely aware of this and feel very weird about being caught talking in my sleep, but I know I am. |

We who are about to dream, salute you!

I woke up last night after a F.A. where i talked with disembodied voices. i had a conversation, but the last word was kinda stuck, so i only said half of it, and i could swear i said it out loud irl. I'm pretty sure the talking woke me up. |

Lucid goals: Wild, teleport, and having a long and vivid LD.
Thinking I'm really talking happens to me fairly often when I'm lucid. I think it usually wakes me up if I'm not lucid. |

I've gotten that feeling a few times, that I'd just been talking in half sleep. Good thing no on is around to hear me. |
|
I get hung up on a certain word and end up waking up from forcing it out. I rarely happens when I am already lucid, but rather I become lucid when it begins to happen. I realize that this is something that happens in dreams, and I slowly become aware of my body until I finally say whatever I had to say and fully wake up. |

I know this is a pretty old post, but I find my self waking up laughing sometimes. In my dreams however I have what I have named Dream Gum that does not allow me to talk at times. I have come to believe I get this dream gum when I am about to talk in my sleep. |

I've had one of those silly "waking up while asking an important question" lucid dreams before, but that's the extent. I've never had any trouble speaking or shouting (though sometimes in lucid dreams I cannot believe how loud I am shouting!). |

in my dream i heard my phone vibrating next to me so i picked it up. the sound from the reciever was a little gargled but it was my GF telling me to get up and stop being lazy, right then i woke up and i was holding the phone and lying in bed talking to her. |

~I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.~
