      I believe it is to do with the type of brain waves we have when dreaming. Beta I think are the ones that make us question and reason but we dont have many of them while dreaming.

      Because your dream memory and your real memory are stored in completely different places (which is why recall can be difficult for beginners) You could do exercises to make the bridge between your dreaming brain and your real memory better by practicing recalling things from the day in your dream.

      Different receptors travel to different parts of the brain and during REM the neurotransmitter is seritonin, which isn't the case for waking life (dopomine I think)

      I find that I can't think clearly in most of my lucids. In fact, in many I'd be lucky to remember that there are tasks. But I also have dreams where I think and reason almost exactly as I do while awake.

      I have no idea why it differs or how to control it. But if you just have enough lucids you should eventually experience ones where your conscious mind works as you'd like it to.

      Solid, practical advice for improving lucid memory. However, the offered biological explanation is utter nonsense.
