I believe it is to do with the type of brain waves we have when dreaming. Beta I think are the ones that make us question and reason but we dont have many of them while dreaming. |

Because your dream memory and your real memory are stored in completely different places (which is why recall can be difficult for beginners) You could do exercises to make the bridge between your dreaming brain and your real memory better by practicing recalling things from the day in your dream. |

I find that I can't think clearly in most of my lucids. In fact, in many I'd be lucky to remember that there are tasks. But I also have dreams where I think and reason almost exactly as I do while awake. |
