I would recommend reading up some of the tutorials, all of your questions are usually answered several times within every post <_<. A wild is usually not something that you can accomplish unless you know what you are doing, I'll answer your questions quick but I would suggest reading almost everything in the tutorials section

Basically when you wild, you consciously fall asleep, you are completely aware as your body relaxes and you doze off (Usually immediately into a LD). The severeness of the sleep paralysis and the characteristics of the transition stage varies from person to person, and changes on a nightly basis. All I can say is have a good time, and go into it with an open mind.
WBTB (Wake back to bed) Helps alot when attempting to WILD, because you have already had the majority of your sleep, will sleep lighter (Easier to remain conscious). The time needed varies per person again, try waking up for a bit 4-6 hours after you go to bed, then attempt a WILD.
WILDs are pretty hard to preform first thing at night, at least for me.. Some people can do it regularly, im not one of them.
