Need tips for stablizing my lucid dreams

I go to bed at 10 pm and wake up at 3 in the morning to use the mild technique. I wake up very tired and use my mantra "The next scene will be a dream!" I slip into a wild and feel the sensation of getting pushed out of my bed by an invisible force. I fall out of my bed and hit the floor. I realize I'm in a dream but everything is black and I cannot see. The only thing I see is the darkness behind my eyelids. How long does it usually takes for imagery to appear? I need tips for stablizing my lucid dreams.

I have been working on the same issue. It's a pain to know that you are flying and not actually see any of the dreamscape. There are tutorials on this site that deal with stabilization and have been very helpful to me. When I WILD and LD tonight, I plan on working primarily with stabilization. Rubbing my dream hands together has helped in past LD's, as does touching anything you can around you. Yelling "find clarity" or "let there be light" can be helpful. You need to engage your senses. I think that it is important to just slow yourself down when you first realize that you are dreaming and just take your time to look closely at your hands or the ground, and let the dreamscape develop. I believe that this is important especially when doing a WILD since the dream may not be completely formed as it is when you do a DILD. Then go off and do what ever it is you plan to do, but occasionally do a stabilization technique during the LD to keep things going. Sometimes it's tough though trying to remember to do that. I think that if you are patient and work on stabilization each time you LD, your vision will start to clear up. Mine has somewhat, but being new to LDing myself (6 or 7 LD's in the last couple of months), I've found that control is a learning process.

Hi Coryrage619. So much for my giving advice. Did LD last night but it was very disappointing. Never thought I'd say that about a lucid dream. Took a while to WILD and when I finally did, most of the LD was in the dark or semi dark and was quite short. Wanted to clarify things but for some reason, failed to do any techniques. Nothing much developed in the LD and I lost lucidity and it turned into a NLD with thoughts and discussion with someone about LDing. Although I've had good luck with WILD (6 out of 8 last attempts), I think I'll continue with doing WBTB, do some MILD, go back to sleep, and hope for a DILD. The several I have had have been my most vivid LD's for some reason. I'll probably stop using the supplements as well.
