      Help with w.i.l.d. please!

      I'm sick of not being able to do it. I lay still for at least 2 1/2 hours not swallowing, moving, regulating breathing, not forcing thoughs, passing by HI, and the closest I've ever gotten was a small electric-like vibration in my feet. That's it. I always give up and start walking away the numbness. And no stiffness either. It really annoys me. Please help.

      OK, a bit of progress made. My fingers got stiff, my feet and my lower legs. I have a lot off HI, but I never managed to get past that.

      Search for BillyBob's Wild Guide. Sounds like your approaching it all wrong.

      However if you keep this attitude;

      Then im afraid the battle is already lost.

      Ah sorry i misunderstood. I thought that 'and never will' applied to all of those techniques.

      I read his guide, and it didn't change a thing. But, practice makes perfect. I'll keep trying. In the mean time, I'm gonna try to sweet-talk my subconcious into giving me a d.i.l.d.

      How does HILD mess with your mind? Curious.

      It's hypnotism, something I don't trust.

      You're probably too awake and thinking too much about the WILD. The point is to relax just to the point where you can sleep, but remain mentally aware.

      No, I'm relaxed as hell. My thoughts are getting slurred like crazy. Saying "I am dreaming" sound like "I aw dwemmg". But I guess it's my technique. With each attempt, I get closer to SP.

      You are attempting this right as you wake up right. I think WILDing is really hard unless you attempt while waking up from a previous dream.

      From your signature it looks like you don't have a whole lot of LDs under your belt just yet. I always advise people who aren't very experienced to just stick with DILDs or to try DEILD if they REALLY want to WILD. It is purported to be that difficult, although some members seem to figure it out right away, but more importantly is what you addressed: you waste time trying to WILD, you lose sleep, and the aggravation factor- trying so hard and ending up with no success night after night can be a blow to your morale and motivation regarding LDing.

      As King Yoshi said, do not try this right when you go to sleep. If you do, you should probably use some meditation and do things to get you very sleepy... hot bath, hot tea before bed, warm room, etc. etc. It's best to try a WBTB or even easier- to DEILD. http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=62769 And having some knowledge of your sleep schedule and approximately when your stages will occur to plan ahead can't hurt.

      I drink tea at least 3 times a day, and might try simple meditation. I'll also try reading. But I'm staying away from hypnotism.
