I agree that DCs exist only within our minds, but maybe the actions they take are governed by a framework of how they should behave, a lot like a computer.

Computers aren't thinking outside of what they are programmed to do, but if you were to see every individual calculation it performs, you would find it is doing a lot of things we didn't explicitly tell it to do to meet its goal.

A DC of someone you know probably behaves a lot like the real thing. Sure, it's all in your mind, but if you read the DC's mind, you might be reading the individual things your subconscious is handling to keep the DC's behavior on track.

Walms already told us about DCs that tried to keep secrets; that is evidence that they have the integrity to hide a secret from the dreamer and potentially from other DCs.

(Sorry if I'm a little unclear here, I can't really think of a way to explain this any better...)

DCs are philosophical zombies. Like NPCs in computer games. This thread is ridiculous.

I still don't get why a DC can't have toughts... considering its created by the subconcient you can easily put some kind of artificial mind in it, even if a really simple one. Or just use some memory insert to fill the space like some do with time <.<

If DCs think, then that implies that they're people. Do you want to go down that road?

No, unless it were moved to beyond dreaming <.<
Anyway, why imply that? Its not like they are having independient toughts, its all programmed by the subconcient... unless that doesn't enter in the "mind" range.

How can you call it thought if it isn't independent?

Dang then its out of the range... I wonder if the OP would want to call it "whatever DC have in the head reading" then <.<
