No chance to think in dreams

Just a very fundamental concept of dreams. There isn't a luxury of take your time to think when dreaming. Unlike reality where you can sit, have a drink and think if you are dreaming or not...in the dream it's click click click like a series of 'switches' that goes off. So that makes 'realising' I'm dreaming an unimportant process to incorporate while dreaming.... When we do realise we are dreaming the 'switches' that goes off suddenly stops for a moment and we start to think independently from the dream. Has anyone gotten around this by using their thoughts independently at will from the dream situation?

You just sort of kicked one of the most basic methods of inducing a lucid dream in the face! I love it! Though I have no other response than that.

I was just trying to convey the basic working environment of a dream so that others can treat dreaming unlike reality where you have all of everything laid out for you including coffee while realising it's a dream. And I'm no expert just experimenting with normal dreaming.

Are you trained to challenge reality in a situation where you concentrate on something, like reading, writing, driving, talking to someone, even watching TV? Probably not. But that's the difficulty you pointed out. In dreams there are mostly no situations where you have time to collect yourself. They do occur sometimes and allow you to question the state, but that is relatively rare.

There is one way: You have to train yourself to challenge reality even in situation that require all your concentration. How is that done? It's actually easy. You question reality whenever you notice something that occurs in waking life and dreams regularly and take the time to do an RC as a verification. That's the whole trick and it's really not a new one.

Everything in dreams requires your attention to exist. So if you turn your attention inwards in deep thought, there is not enough left to sustain your dream, which fades away, forcing you awake.

Avoiding that point of introversion is the first hurdle a newbie lucid dreamer faces.

Yeah, I mean I'm pretty sure our brains sparking certain neurons in our brain in certain patterns is what controls our body/mind. That's how computers work, obviously. 0's, and 1's, that's it. I kinda imagine my brain working like that too. I know exactly what you're talking about.

Which would deny the possibility of doing dream yoga, which in fact is a common application for some buddhistic practitioners.
