Though, now as I prepare to LD again, I see it a bit differently. I still think there's the possibility that we're entering another world (or something like that) but I also think there's a big possibility it's all just in our heads. I also think I'll have a bit more self control and be able to achieve a tiny bit more in my LDs this time around.
Either way, I see LDing now as not really something that'll interrupt any messages God tries to give us (talking through a Christian mindset). I figure if God wants to give a message to us, he can give it to us in an LD too. I'm pretty sure I've read in the bible of stories where people have known they were dreaming and seeing a vision (or my mind could be making these stories up, I dunno). Even if we couldn't get these messages or meanings from dreams if we were LDing, God would then just make sure we had dreams in which we didn't LD. I mean, i don't think anyone has ever spent their entire live solely having LDs. You have normal dreams too, so those messages will still get though.
In terms of causing yourself to be more stressed... etc if you make your dreams go in a certain way, I don't think that really applies. My guess is that seeing as you are the soul cause of it and know why it's happening (e.g. you), then maybe it doesn't have that meaning anymore. That's assuming those meanings are correct in the first place.
Either way, I don't think LDing would be that bad for you. Exploring your inner conscious and learning more about yourself surely can't be too much of a bad thing.
