I will try to give good answer...Well lucid dreams and games...
Lucid dreams are better ...Why?
Because in it you can do anything you want so and become character of some game in lucid dream...Hope all nice explained...

I hAd one lucid dream for about 4 seconds, I'm falling from the sky and do a RC, thats it. Basically, it didn't seem like i was lucid. Just dreaming i pinched my nose and that's it. Probably because my recall is so bad.


Do you think lucid dreams are better than video games? What connection do you think these two can have in the future, and how far in the future. And what field of study would you have to go to college for to help with a virtual reality video game.

Sometimes its as real as people say, But why kill people.... This is something i don't understand, in real life you dont go around killing people, because your afraid of jail or death yourself, So why kill people in a dream because they cant fight back? Because there is no consiquences? Does thats make you any better then someone who kills for enjoyment or fun in real life?

I shot a person once. His friends had guns too and were ready to shoot me back, but I convinced them I was sorry and wanted to make up for it by making a portal in the wall. But all I did is make a hole in the wall filled with ice-cream. I sooner shoot people in normal dreams then in lucid ones. I think I realize too much that I might be in intense pain if I get shot or otherwise hurt, when becoming lucid. So I'm always careful not to test if I'm invincible or not.

Twice now I've play Call of Duty World at War in a dream. It was like virtual reality. I've had a few Resident Evil dream too. None of those were lucid though.

There's a difference between killing a figment of your imagination and ending someone's life.

nah- dreams, especially lucid dreams are very exciting experiences, however since they usually last only several minutes you still need to find something to fill the rest of the day - I find that playing games on my 3d monitor is probably the closest analogy to lucid dreams for me. That being said, even those meager minutes are well worth the trouble- imagine being able to fly and have superpowers and stuff for several minutes each day- and in a very emotionally involving way- not some distant thing like if you were to hear about it or watch it on tv.

Yeah, I don't understand why people want to 'kill' things in their dreams.....I don't think I'd be friends with those people.

There's a shi*ton of better things to do then murder things.

Incomparable. If your unlucky they'll be like computer game graphics. LD's are more like real life.

I can't kill people in my dreams. I was being menaced by Carrot Top in my dreams for years and one dream he was chasing me and as I turned the corner I noticed I had a shotgun so I blew him away as he came round the corner but he didnt die he just vanished.

If you're spending all your LDs killing DCs, obviously, you are correct, someone needs help.

But simply goofing around like going matrix style gunfight or something is for fun.

I don't see myself being able to fire bazookas in the near future, it's for fun.

Same as with videogames.

1) I totally prefer lucidity over video games.
2) To me at least, it feels just like real life.
3) Dude! Don't sell the xbox...you've even said yourself that your recall isn't that great,
and even if it was amazing, lucid dreams don't last as long as a video game.

I don't really understand what you mean about dreams and video games in the future...if you're suggesting that we'll be able to link some kind of game to our mind so that it seems real, I doubt that will be happening very soon, probably not in our lifetime =/

Hm, for me lucids are as real as WL.
Between them and video games, lucids, longer, more exciting, and virtual reality lol
I would never trash a video game console tough, that can give some ideas for lucids, and their relation to dreams in the future, I don't know and don't care much, its already good as it is now for me.
Also, even tough I see no reason to killing in a lucid, I don't see a reason either for not doing it <.<

You have to face the facts as i said erlier, In any form of conciousness killing people is not normal and it means you enjoy the feeling of watching people die.... real or not thats not right my friend.

Super Mario is not real, But generateing a real person and chopping there head of so you can watch the blood squirt out and then go do it again is a diferent thing.

LDs are amazing. I use them for spiritual growth and inner understanding rather for pure pleasure though. Video games are for fun, LDs are for fun and much more.

When I have LDs, they sometimes distract me over how damn vivid it is. Some of them even made me rethink whether if I was dreaming or not.

what if its not normal people your killing, what if its evil people or gangsters, or zombies, or what if your reliving a war in an LD?

I still think its wrong, Maybe its only me but i like to treat lucid dreams with respect. And refrain from destroying the beautiful things my mind creates for me.

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Just because you shoot at somebody doesn't necessarily mean your intentions are to kill them. Have you heard of paintball and airsoft? In it, people shoot at each other for fun and to complete team objectives. Its not always about violence. But that's not to say that I agree with someone who reconstructs the Columbine or VT massacres in the LDs for the "fun of it" because that's just sick. But I've had an LD where I was engaged in a shootout in a space city against three men who were also armed. I had the time of my life and nobody died.
