      Darn Chinese-made Dream Machinery!

I always find it rather cute when bits of machinery make a half-hearted attempt at working in LDs. Last night I tried to see what was on the radio so I put my stereo on. It came on but the station wouldn't change, and all I got was a bit of static with some muffled words being spoken (some of which I could understand, but I forget them now). To what extent do machines work in your dreams? Have you ever made something work fully? Has anyone ever used a TV or computer in a dream?

I tried using a tv but the screen went all fuzzy and wouldn't work.

Mine usually WORK, but I have trouble working them. Like one time, I was using an ipod and trying to get a song to work. It wouldn't get to the artists page so I could find the band I wanted to play, but I could scroll it up and down on a list of other artists. Cameras always work, but the images come out blurred like they've had a long exposure. So, close but not quite

haha. When it didn't work in the dream I just whacked it like I would if it was on the blink IRL. Should have eaten it or something.

That's cool Shift... I was thinking about trying my iPod but I couldn't find it. Didn't think it would work in such detail! And I never thought a camera would work!

On TV, anime, and if there was not anime I would force it into the TV...
The computer, yes it always work, scrolling, tab changing, ctr + something, being pestered by some annoying adds while lurking forums to see if I can find anything interesting, online games and... I think thats all I have done in the computer <.<

I don't think I ever had to use a machine in a lucid, but in non-lucids I'm a bit like Shift - it's not the machine, it's me. I try to pull up a file on my PC and it takes me forever to find it, I get my camera and realize I forgot to charge the battery (and then scramble for a new one before I run out of light)...

Oh, wait, there was this one time when I was going to shoot a really cool landscape but then I remembered I was dreaming... Man, I hate when that happens, hehe!

That sounds about right here. Clocks work, but they usually switch times illogically. The one time I recall flicking a light switch, it didn't work and I began to get frustrated until I realized that I'd been talking to someone IRL about light switches and dreams and became lucid... and promptly woke up.

I find myself on DV once in a while when I'm dreaming. I don't think I do much else on computers. Radios and CD players have worked, but it's always some other DC working them.

What's DV look like (are you talking about lucids or normal dreams here btw?) Does it have the same sections? Do the posts make any sense?

My bedside lamp never works - strange really, since you'd think that'd be the simplest thing to reproduce. I'm glad it doesn't because it's been the cause of a number of lucids (including last night!)

In my first lucid dream, which lasted only about 15 seconds, my tv had a still picture of a double-sided mona lisa (basically a mirror image). I stuck my head into the screen and looked around and i saw a bunch of stormtroopers. then i woke up

Mmm yes when I dream about instant messaging programs (MSN or AIM are the only ones I really use) they look very accurate. I can usually also read the text perfectly well. But those are non-lucids. Can't recall ever looking at a computer during a lucid.

My computer works fine.. Usually all I see is the screen.. But sometimes the programs have different colors and Graphic interfaces.

I don't recall. Usually when I'm "on DV" I'm communicating with members I know, probably more like chat than anything. I don't really surf the internet in my dreams
