Let me start off by saying that I've never had a decent Lucid Dream. That may very well be contributing to my current state of confusion. That confusion being, I believe I've uncovered a fundemental flaw in the concept of Lucid Dreaming.
No matter what technique you use, no matter how robust your dream recall is, you will always be stuck with a memory of a dream, lucid or not. I believe this is the reason so many people have asked the question: "Did I only dream I was lucid?" I have also had the feeling that my "lucidity" was nothing more than a regular dream. You could have the most vivid, realistic, intense Lucid Dream ever, yet its only a memory, because you wake in the morning at the mercy of your dream recall. I sometimes have gone so far as to think that there is no point to having an LD. As far as my mind is concerned, I never experienced that dream in "Real Time." I dont want to make this post too long, lest you grow bored. If you made it this far, thank you, and humour me, because contrary to what I've said, I'm just aching to have a killer LD.
