Person I know, who is incredibly lucky.

In a short story, I learned today that my friend has been LDing unintentionally for years now. Almost two to three times a week. He never knew about LDing, at all, until today when I explained it to him when he told me about this.

He basically said, in a nutshell, that he had weird dreams then somewhere through he'd go "Haha, wait I'm dreaming" then he'd have COMPLETE control over them.

      I'm really...jealous...in a way.

Haha yeah. Just punch them in the face, I'd probably do that. It does piss me off that I actually have to learn how to have lucid dreamins at will while they get the easy way.

Lol made my day. Naturals do have a privilege.

I have been trying to lucid for a few months. I ranted about it to my friend for for a whole day one time, and she has her first lucid that same day! She'd never had or heard of lucid dreams anytime before that . That, my friend, was anger. lol

XD maybe we should get people IRL to rant about dreams to us all day, we might get a lucid that way

Complete control but ask him this....Does he have waking memory meaning can he remember what to do in the dream 'precisely' that he wanted in waking life? Because if he can't it's just normal dreaming with the word.."I'm dreaming".

My Dad recently told me he thinks he has had a lot more control over his dreams lately. That would be nice if it got even better as I got older.

You know if you think about it you are the lucky ones, you grew up not knowing what LDing was and without the keen ability to do it, because of this I feel you will not take advantage of it, you can honestly appreciate it because you had to work for it.

The best situation would be learning to LD and then losing it entirely, after that you would really appreciate it's presence, and after that you would be able to answer with full truth and knowledge "Is it worth the effort?"

Appreciate what you have, because you'll have never anything else.

I see how they are lucky, but I don't see why to be jealous, after all, you can practice and achieve it, thats how I did it.

Part of why some people get LD dreams is because of good dreamcall and sleeping in which certainly can make it easier to LD. Yes, reality checks help but they aren't the only way to go. A couple years ago was my first LD, but it wasn't until a couple months ago that I got all of my other LD in. Waking up in the morning, then falling back asleep is where I most often become lucid
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

This is why I always think the best way to Lucid dream, is to not give it too much attention. Read about it and practice, but don't obsess. The people who just have them, or have them after a friend tells them about it, just let it happen. Thats what happened to my cousin. I told him about Lucid Dreaming a few years back, and ever since then he will think of it occsionaly and just have them.

      I do this. ^^
I still have LDs a few times a month and I haven't become entirely great at them, but I have gotten to the point where I actually remember to stabilize.

It's getting better every time I would say. I once created a dog out of mid-air, I wasn't trying to create a dog, I was trying to make something else, but the dog appeared. O.o I would say that is good. xP Practice makes perfect.

It could possibly be because I am lazy though, who knows.

No need to feel jealous/rage guys. Just practice and learn how to get them at will. It'll take time but if you keep at it, you'll achieve your goal and once you do, not only will you feel good about it, you won't take it for granted like they do simple as that. If you can do a WBTB, then you should be able to LD easily. I can't since I'll likely not be able to fall asleep again

Well put. If there was a rep system, I would have repped you too. Its because you have to work in order to LD, that you would appreciate it much more. If you were a natural like them, then you wouldn't really care for it

      In response to BigFan..........

I know, I know, I'm just getting a little frustrated hahaha

WBTB's don't really work for me as I cannot fall back asleep, and even my dream recall is diminishing lately =/
