Hello, I have been trying to accomplish a lucid dream for about 4 days now, but so far I've only been having normal dreams, and a weird OBE of some sort. |
|
"You don't have to worry about anything here, you're going to wake up now, but you may come back whenever you like."

well it's good that you are still trying |

Okay, thanks guys. (: |

"You don't have to worry about anything here, you're going to wake up now, but you may come back whenever you like."
Just keep going at it. You'll eventually have one. In my case, I had one a week after I started practicing and when I had it, I was taking a break from WILDing, so, it's possible that when you take a break, you might have one |

# of LDs so far: DILD-1, WILD-0, Awareness-5
Max Dreams recalled in one night: 3
Goals: Learn to fly [] - Find out more about myself [] - Explore the sea [] - Pray in an LD []
Read my DJ: Whirlwind of Dreams
Read my current research: CAT Research
Read my meditation experiences: Meditation Experiences
it took me months to just start getting the hang of it... but trust me... keep working at it because it really is something you will enjoy doing |
|
took me around a month now I have regular LD's |
|
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!
new goals: have more LD's than Shift[X]
10-15min LD [ X] Article: A day in the life of an LD-er
the "Mind V.S. Body" Induction technique
Everyman 2 LD's/ sleep schedule progress
Is that a hint of sarcasm I see there? |

DILD/AILD (Anomaly Induced Lucid Dream ) 5
To be honest i was rater discouraged after two days of not having a lucid dream as friend of mine says he was about 3-4 every week with our trying. I know now he is either lying or loved by god. But i figure its not to hard to learn how to lucid dream, doing RC around the day and keeping a DJ only take 5-10 minutes out of my day but its a kick in the balls to hear stories about people that have there first LD in a couple of nights. |

LD count: 1
Short term goals
Perfect recall[], Have an LD[X], Sustain a LD[], have 10 LDs[].
Long term goals achieve full lucidity[], Complete a task of the year[], Go to heaven and have a beer with Jesus[] Full dream control[]
Don't try too much. If you're discouraged, stop trying. You're only going to have a bad stigma regarding LDs, and you'll have less in return. Take a break for a few days, catch up on some needed sleep or whatever but keep LDing low in your priority list. Rcing is optional but don't stress it. |

I´m always a bit jealous when I read that people had a lucid dream the night after reading about it the first time. I had 2 in 2 years now and it needs a strong will to keep on going for month and month, even if you have no success. |

Actually, that probably means you're doing something wrong. You might have more success with a different technique than the one you're using. I assume it's DILD, so look into WILD. Even for people good at DILD it can be somewhat unpredictable, and it's not very straightforward to master. Though WILD is harder, once you manage to get the steps down, it's very reliable. Trust me, if you're only getting one LD per year, you should try to do things differently. |
