One other thing that I just remembered from a dream I had last night. During dreams I may be incredibly illogical, but I'll also have weird access to knowledge and facts. In a dream last night I was standing by this building at the edge of these snow-covered mountains, and I could suddenly taste salt and was wearing a coat that was covered in little white specks. I asked one of my DCs if it was salt and they said yes, and in my unlucid state I said something like, "Oh, that would make sense because as the water freezes into ice on the mountain, it leaves the salt behind (even though we weren't anywhere near the ocean)." I didn't realize that the water to begin with wasn't salt water, I just knew, accurately, that when things like sea ice form they leave salt behind. This'll happen a lot in my dreams, I'll have partial access to real memories and reasoning, but it still won't actually make sense.

The last posts were really good and reminded me of something. When I am in a regular dream, I do have different personality. It does of course feel like me, but it is often an uninhibited, automated and very reactionary me. So I can completely relate to what people are saying. But when I had written my posts, I had been thinking about when I lucid dream, in which case I always feel like myself. But usually when I lucid dream I WILD (if only for a few seconds. Need to work on getting those longer). When I WILD I start off the dream more or less from my waking life consciousness so the dream ends up feeling like waking life me. But on some occasions I do MILD. When I MILD I start the dream off with the dream personality active, the one that is more wild and try to make it more lucid by bringing in some awareness. I think this awareness must reflect my waking state, right?

Anyway, I think that if I MILD, I might be more likely to have a mixture of waking state and dreaming state personalities and not feel as much like myself. But if I WILD then I feel more like myself. Does this make sense? Anybody have any experience similar or opposite to this? Just a theory.

The long worn out traveler was just now crossing the invisible film of clarity.
He found instantly that the lights were brighter and the grass really was greener.

I've found that with my WILDs, I don't have that 100% clear cognition that I have while awake. They're really incredibly similar to my DILDs, in almost every single aspect.

It depends. For the most part, I'm clear headed, but almost in a fog. I get distracted very easily, and forget to RC a lot. If I were in a clear state of mind, I would stabilize every 10 seconds if it would let me do whatever I want.

No matter how clear headed I think I am in the dream, I will always find some inconsistencies after I wake up and think back on my state of mind. In my super-lucid dreams, I will sit there and marvel at how clearly I can think. It is not until later, after I wake up, that I realize how delusional I really was.
