Sure, MILD techniques and writing on your hand is fine. But I'm not here to pat you on the back for that. Instead, I'm here to defend dreamsigns.
The only problem with dreamsigns, is that people oversimplify them. First, know that a person, place, or object alone is not a dream sign.
"My dream sign is dogs because I always dream about dogs."
A dream sign should be defined as "a sure sign that youare dreaming." I'm very certain that you see dogs both while dreaming, and while awake. So, "dogs" alone is not a dream sign. A dream sign needs something that differentiates it from waking life. So if you pet dogs in dreams, but are allergic in real life, you could consider petting dogs a dreamsign. If your dog talks, or you see your dead dog, then talking dogs and dead dogs are dreamsigns. Reality check whenever you think about your dad dog, reality check whenever something *strange* happens with a dog.
Also, dream signs do not have to be long-lasting. Get that out of your head. You can have a dream sign for a couple dreams, and then never again. If you MILD, as in, the technique where you envision that you're in your last dream, but remember to reality check when you see a dream sign, then it doesn't matter how long you've had the dream sign for. In all practicality, you'd be better off if you were apt at recognizing temporary dream signs. It would make you adaptable, y'know?
