Red face Had a lucid dream without trying!

So, a couple of nights ago, I had a dream I was outside my old house, with my mom. And, quite suddenly, I realized I was dreaming. I stood there, looking around. Everything looked exactly the same as it did in real life. I tried to become aware of my sleeping body, and I think I sorta felt, but as soon as I did that, everything began to fade away. The last thing I could hear was something my mother said.

So, it wasn't that exciting or mind blowing, but the funny thing was I haven't even been trying to have lucid dreams that night. I was just trying to work on my dream recall. It just felt so natural, and now I feel like have lucid dreams isn't too hard after all

That's awesome! It's really cool when they just kinda sneak up on you like that.

My only lucid dreams have been random goodies like that one. You've got to remember to spin around and press your tongue to the roof of your mouth when that happens. It'll help stabilize the dream. Congrats, though!

Yeah, I've had some like that before, too. They're a nice surprise.

Yeah, I've only had 2 LDs and I got both to be stable and last a good 3 minutes by that method. However, I found atkins' tutorial on how to lengthen dreams and it looks like it'll work better.

Most of my LD's to date have happened this way. It's cool, but I would much rather just be able to do them as I want to.

      Still, it's something, right?

Yeah, I agree. I can't wait to be able to have them whenever I want.

And Kookyinc, I'll try to remember that next time. Thanks!
