bad dream recall? is it? sometimes, maybe. maybe not. I think there's much more to it. How many times have all of us seen an environment, either in nonlucids, but especially lucids, that we may get the gist of, but unable to actually describe except extremely vaguely? How many times have we heard DC's talk, and at the time it seemed to make perfect sense, but as we woke up we realized we couldn't repeat a word? Seen imagery or text that we later couldn't picture in our minds but knew their context?
I believe this is all due to the brain saving resources, or being lazy so to speak.

instead of actually creating an image, sometimes when the brain is tired/lazy/bad timing/etc it simply convinces us we are seeing something. And it doesn't have to be visual- we can also hear nonexistant conversations, hear music that is not really music, etc, when in fact we are experiencing brain-soup. It's not what you see it's what you think you see.

again, this happens only sometimes. A lot of the time, especially in WILD, we see perfectly clear and vivid imagery without "tricks"
Now- is it possible to detect this while dreaming? At first I thought it was impossible to detect general dream vividness except after waking, so maybe it's possible to detect this as well, however one can not be certain that in his search for brain-soup we in fact are not accidentally creating it ourselves.
however, since all dreams are by nature illusory one might ponder on the point of this article- and that's just to better understand how dream recall works.
one might go even further and conclude that all the dreams we see are actually nothing but random HI, that we perceive and make into dreams.
