N00bs Introduce yourselves in "Newbie Zone!"

Hi, I figured this might help clean up the clutter of the forum a little bit as well as make Seekers life as Official Newb welcomer easier. He can keep a better eye on new people if they all post in one spot!

      So Welcome to the forum

Tell us a lil about yourself, what got your interest in lucid dreaming.. STUFF!

Also remember the one rule we have here is

      Be excellent to one another!
"A knight is sworn to valor.
      His heart knows only virtue.
      His blade defends the helpless.
      His might upholds the weak.
      His word speaks only truth.
      His wrath undoes the wicked."

Impossible is only that which has yet to be imagined

no no no...we need to have a SECTION for n00bs. that way they can make there OWN thread, much less confusing. and...I honeslty don't like the 'newb welcomer' idea. it's just not as meaningful...it's like..it's his JOB, of course HE's going to welcome me..

I got interested in lucid dreaming after I've changed myself completely this september. I moved from science to spirituality/mystics and tried many things that were kinda taboo before.
About a week ago I had my first LD and a false awakening. It was so cool that i just followed a link from a www.erowid.org and discovered this great forum...

      My reply

      Name: Joel (obviously)

      Age: 16

Location (City, state, & country): USA

      Occupation: Doing stuff

      Religion or Faith: None really

Languages spoken: English, some spanish, some esperanto

      Favorite musician: Varies

Favorite book ever: The Pullman Trilogy

Drug of choice: Coffee, candy, and other STUFF

Lucid dreaming interests me because, well, I don't know. I kind of have a tendency to get into "bizarre" hobbies/interests. Yoyoing, rubiks cube, computing, language, culture, and <insert stuff I forgot and am too lazy to think of>.
      I eat babies.
      Seriously.

      welcome, oh eater of babies.

I don't think those hobbies are bizarre at all. interesting maybe, different. but not bizarre. then again, I don't find much of anything 'bizarre'.

Its not his JOB, we just decided to give him that title because he seems to be the one doing the most welcoming =)

And I do like the Topic idea!

my point is...if I were new to this forum, started a thread and saw someone welcome me with the title 'official newb welcomer' I wouldn't feel as welcome as if the members randomly welcomed me. I'd think well yeah, of course he's going to welcome me, he's the newb welcomer. I just...I dunno..and I really think we should have a SECTION for n00bs, where they can each make their own 'hi I'm new' thread...like in the Mortuary. it's very convieniant.

Don't think of it that way! I think secretly, Ice and Seri were afraid to let me reach 'Lucid God' status

Just kidding on that. They asked me because I am n00b friendly. Believe it or not, I am a nurturer.
I love to see some n00b stumble in here asking questions. I especially love to see their first 'I FINALLY DID IT!' post. I've watched several n00bs join up and do this.

I'll let all of you decide if it's a good idea or a bad idea to have a welcomer.

But, I'll keep doing it whether I have my stars or not. ( although I would miss them )
