Depends on the person, honestly. Their general mindframe and beliefs, and also past experience with sleep, dreams, and any natural lucid dreams they've had. Some of my closer friends have expressed either having had them, or not having had them but believed me 100% (they know me enough to know that if I talk about something it's legit). Others I've briefly mentioned it to commented on their own past experiences with natural lucids and/or lucidity from nightmares and how much it freaked them out, but I dropped the topic because they were clearly not very open minded because of these past experiences and/or personal beliefs. So yea, depends. Generally, people I have brought it up to have responded very positively. I think a lot of people DEILD and/or get random DILDs.

Depening on the person, they act interested or are genuinely interested. My dad acts interested, my mom sometimes really is. My friends are estatic over it, but wouldn't go so far as to try to induce lucids. I mean, if they're into it, then they are, but you can't force them to get into it >.>

Some friends will say, "theres no way, how could anyone possibly prove you could do that in your sleep? Ive never dreamt in my life" and some will passively say "oh, thats cool"
One friend of mine actually started a dream journal, but stopped after a day or two.

yeah i had a hard time opening up to people about this subject. i stopped practicing for a couple of years and hadnt told anyone. once i started again, i eventually told me girlfriend. she seems to be more and more interested everytime i tell her about it but hasnt actually tried yet.

my mom seems interested and idk about my dad. if i still had my old friend he would probably be interested. he use to tell me about these "random voices" before fallin asleep (hypnagogia)

but yeah my gf definetly knows, my mom kinda knows and my brother and dad i dont think know.

I've had a generally negative experience with this. When I first stated LD-ing it seemed so amazing and exciting that I just had to tell people. Though most responded like I was weird or crazy, and the best responses were lukewarm. Now I have many IM contacts and also DV that I can talk to about dreams, so I'm ok with not sharing it with people around me, as long as I get to share it with someone anyone I'm fine
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

I've only told one friend. He believed me when I said it was possible, and was fasinated when I told him of some of the research done on it, but he didn't try any much himself.
He likes to tease me about it whever I mention it now, but I guess he'd stop if/when I get any good at it :p
      April Ryan is my friend,
      Every sorrow she can mend.
When i visit her dark realm,
      Does it simply overwhelm.
