Hey guys, I'm new here. Been trying to LD and reading these forums for a while now, but no success so far. I'm hoping that joining here will help increase (read: make existent) my success rate.
Now, to the point. I'm wondering if it's possible/anyone's tried to LD while under anesthesia, or even if you dream under it. I ask this because I'm going to have a minor surgery tomorrow and am interested to see if it's possible to do. I've had a few other surgeries over the course of my life and don't remember having any dreams while I was under. However, those were all the hardcore anesthesia where you're completely asleep and need a breathing tube and all that crap while you're out. This one's much more small-scale, though, and the anesthesia will be weaker, which (correct me if I'm wrong) means my sleep state will be closer to normal sleep. If it's close enough to normal sleep that I'm able to dream, then I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to go lucid too.
Regardless, I intend to give it a try. I won't have time to check replies to this post before I go in (they want me at 7:40 AM), but I'll let you know how it goes. And, even if the anesthesia thing doesn't work, I'll likely be tired all day as a result of the surgery. With the amount of sleeping I anticipate doing over the next 24 or 36 hours, I've got to get at least one LD, right?
