Thread: My theroy on Dream Guides

I think of my Dream Guide as a form of my subconscious

Angels existing is a prerequisite for a dream guide to be your guardian angel. Invalid.

1, please? I don't like angels anyway, so would have to kill my DG for 2 and 3 lol

I'd go with #1 for sure.

1# i believe anyway, it's just your Sub-concious mind coming in a form which you can communicate with. the reason it knows more about yourself than you is because it is you on a deeper level of your conciousness. So that's how come you can ask questions about a relationship. Just say You have hit a bump in your relationship, your "Dream guide" may tell you to end it... But that really is yourself telling you what you have not come to accept but have burried deep. Like it will tell you the options which you know should happen but do not accept that option and don't worry about it.

Well that's what I think anyway, sorry if I am rambling on and repeating myself.

I used to think my DG was a manifestion of my subconcious until he started talking.

Thats very interesting.

I once met a spirit guide that was a very wise all knowing form of myself while meditating. That could have been my subconcious since it was me after all.

Interesting, I'd have to go with #1, but;

They have.

As far as I can tell, the responses come back as what the person believes. Which would be a really good argument for it just being your subconscious.

Certain people get responses that they had never thought of, or the DGs just won't tell them. Special cases, I would think.

I believe number one is the most accurate.

I wish I could say for sure the first is true. That would just make things so much easier. . .

My opinion is that there are no such things as angels, much less guardian angels. To assume that there is a divine creature watching over you is extremely egocentric. Even then, they would have nothing to do with dreams. Dream Guides are simply Dream Characters who you've allowed to speak intelligently and only exist because you've read about them here on dreamviews. Any dream character can be a dream guide if you want them to be. I vaguely recall Shift saying that she can make any dream character a dream guide.

Shift has said that yes.

This is one of the few topics Shift and I disagree on. I do believe dream guides are 'special.'

Whether that is because your unconscious (key to my explaination) is making them such, or if it is a different being is still a toss up for me. I want to believe it is a separate entity.

I believe this to be true for dream guides. I also believe in spirit guides, and for them to be actual spiritual beings. Whether it is true or not, it makes me feel more comfortable to assume the person is real.
