Attaining lucidity can be easy for some, and very hard for others. The key is patience, will, and motivation. If you are feeling unmotivated, and about to give up, post here describing your situation, and we will try to give you a little push.

“THE TEMPTATION TO QUIT WILL BE GREATEST JUST BEFORE YOU ARE ABOUT TO SUCCEED.”

Also, for those who have them, post your stories of success to motivate others.
All that is true.

I've had three lucid dreams. The first happened a month after I started putting a lot of effort into my attempts, and the second was two weeks later. The third came a bit after, near the end of October. Since then, I have not had any lucid dreams, and my recall has been slipping. However, very recently, I have been again putting great effort into my attempts, and it is working. My recall has been steadily improving, and my day-to-day awareness levels have increased.

Bottom line: NEVER GIVE UP HOPE. You only get as much out as you put in.
