I'm in no way experienced at lucid dreaming, but my most vivid lucid dreams have been almost exactly as real feeling as being awake. Some times so much so, that the realization that I'm dreaming has been scary. |
|
Most of my lucids feel as real as if I am awake, and I often marvel in the dream about that fact. Although when I wake up it does seem to feel just like another dream, I have to remind myself how it felt like when I was inside the dream, because once it is over it feels just like any other memory which is normal I suppose. I guess my memory sucks |

LD count: 45
I have this same feeling. It's strange how memories of dreams and memories of real events can have such a similar feeling. |
|
When I have LDs, at the least, they look like real life. Sometimes they look even sharper. |
|
It seems that over time, my dreams have gotten worse, I cant explain why... because my first lucid was so real, and lasted for a while - but now they are so blurry and out of focus, and they don't last very long either. those kind of dreams scare me, like everything is in focus. only had two LDs that were like that, but wow, I'll never forget them. |

I really never understood the sharper-than-life thing, for me its always the same or lower. |

From a technical perspective, our brain works based on something called fuzzy logic. Essentially meaning we estimate a lot of things. Which is why it's not too hard for us to catch a ball but it takes high level math to determine the balls exact trajectory. What I'm trying to say, is that dreams (as real as they may feel) are not perfect replicas of real life, they're an estimation of real life. But becuase you brain only estimates it can't tell the difference. If that makes any sense whatsoever. |
