      Nearly managed DEILD

Last night I noticed my dream ending and managed so keep dead still and eyes closed. It was the first time iv managed to do this so was pretty stoaked, i could see tonnes of small blue dots like a grid in my eyelids. I lay there for about 5-10 mins. My body felt very numb and i just tried to lye still and let myself drift away but nothing happened. I eventualy rolled over and went to sleep. Any ideas on what I should do next time time this hapens? I thought I was going to DEILD but no i was pretty gutted because I stiull havnt had a LD

Question, why did you not move? That may make you be unconfortable and make it harder to DEILD, just don't open your eyes and get confortable, then try imagining some new dream, thats what I do when I want to DEILD.

I always thought that DEILDs generally required you to stay still?
Anyways, in my 1 experience with a DEILD, I managed to exit my current dream and DEILD into another in a matter of seconds; I thought that was how it always worked

Thats how I thought you were suposed to do it? I wasnt very uncomfortable, it was just wierd I didnt drift straight off.Hopefully itl happen again but I think I was just realy lukcy I managed to not open my eyes. Iv been trying for a while now and I just want to have a LD my reality checks arent very frequent anymore (only a few a day). Im still so keen to LD it just sucks most of my mates iv told about LDing can already do it or have already had one since I told them about it. Im sure my time will be soon its just frustrating and I guess im not a natural

Oh, not moving is just a myth, remember it changes for everyone, some people naturally open eyes, move, and fall back asleep as if nothing happened, so I would guess for a DEILD, they would have to follow that same pattern.

I thought that since you didn't move at all, it was unconfortable and that the natural pattern for you is wake up, move and fall back.
