      Is This Normal?

Hi, I'm new to Dream Views.

I've been lucid dreaming since September. Usually, I wake up around 6:00 AM monday-friday, and I go to sleep around 9:00-10:00 PM. Friday night I usually stay up until 12:00-2:00 AM. Saturday morning is usually when I have lucids. I wake up around 9:00 AM and close my eyes. As soon as I start seeing figures and objects, I know I'm about to enter a dream. However, I have a really bothersome problem. Whenever I try and have a lucid dream I feel pins and needles all over my body. This makes it incredibly hard to stay still, because it tickles... a lot. The feeling is especially strong in my right armpit and on my neck. If I move, I can't enter my dream. So I ask:

      Is this normal?

Does anyone know what my method of lucid dreaming is called? (I've been wondering if it's WILD, but I'm not sure.)

      OK, YES, it's TOTALLY normal.

This is Sleep Paralysis. Sometimes it's unpleasant (some love it), but it's perfectly normal/fine/safe. Look in the tutorials for more info

http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=65007 People try purposly to get SP to get lucids. You're one of those that just, gets it. Consider yourself lucky.

And, 9am Saturday lucids. This is JUST like me. I wake up on the weekends, fall back to sleep, lucids. Without this...I would have significantly less then the number I've had.
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

Oh, there are different types of SP? I just assumed you couldn't move. Haha, silly me.

      Thanks for explaining.

That's not completely right, there's only one type of SP. The experience however is very different from person to person. Some people see images, others hear sounds and some people don't perceive anything at all.

      And yes, that is WILD.
