      Losing lucidity on purpose

So there are techniques to keep you lucid once lucid, there are techniques to wake you up, there are techniques to increase clarity, but are there any deliberate techniques or attitudes that can turn a lucid dream into a non-lucid?
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

Hmm...most dreamers don't want to lose their lucidity. I have never really tried to lose it on purpose and have never saw a technique/tutorial for losing lucidity. Why exactly are you trying to lose your lucidity? If you want an unpredictable experience, then play along with the dream plot (thats what I do 90% of the time). It plays out more like an interactive movie and contains the expected and the unexpected (just like real life).

Hmm...me too actually. I wonder if laying down and trying to sleep within a lucid would do it? I think I will try that in the near future.

Its not much of a challenge, just let yourself get absorbed in the plot of the dream and soon enough you will forget you are dreaming.

I lost it last night, i was flying and all of a sudden when i wake up i realise that i lost lucidity after a while when i was in the sky and instead of just flying i was riding an inflatable rubber boat in the sky.... was fun.

My guess is that you should just have fun and you will soon lose it.

Your theory, as it stands right now, suggests that every lucid dream I've ever had should have made me lose lucidity at some point before waking, simply because I was just having fun with everything around me.

I agree with the idea that getting absorbed by the plot will cause you to go non-lucid after becoming lucid, if you let it take you long enough.

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.

I mean that you should stop hand rubbing or stabilizing and just forget that its a dream.

That's closer, but when I'm in a dream I don't even think about it being a dream. I just start doing stuff. I think the best way is just to get caught up in what's going on around you, forgetting about taking control of anything.
