      Lucid nightmare

I don't know if this is really a nightmare. I became lucid in what seemed to be a false awakening, but I don't remember anything before that. I walked over to my mirror to check out my reflection and maybe try to stabilize my dream. I saw my face in the mirror, really distorted, and I landed on m bedroom floor in the dream and woke myself up. I got kinda pissed since that was only my 2nd lucid (I started MILD + WBTB 2 days ago), and I ended up wasting it by scaring myself. How do i get over my fear in my next lucid?

The way that worked for me was to just face the fear as if there is nothing more you can do, then the inner conflict will be resolved, or just drop acid.

Or you could just leave the house, call down an orbital bombardment and walk away whistling.

      In your dream, that is.

I'd rather not nuke my own house, even in a dream. The face your fears thing seems like a good idea (once I work up the courage of course).

You can approach the fear in increments or head on, both are viable.

You can summon androids or weapons to face your fears in the dream. That's what I did in mine. I haven't had a nightmare ever since. I'm serious.

So, your own reflection scared you, easiest way is to just ignore mirrors?
Either that or try to make a mirror out of a photo of yourself, that way it won't be distorted.

Know that you can change anything in a dream if you have good or better control, that's all, really.
If you do end up waking up, tell yourself you'll DEILD right before the dream ends and ejects you. Then, imagine the last scene of that dream as you lay still and breathe normally, and you'll DEILD back in, allowing for another chance to lucid dream.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Look in the mirror and imagine it can take you to another location, maybe a past memory, then just jump through it.
