How many LDs before you don't wake up?

Last night I had my third LD, however I still failed at stabilizing it. My LDs so far have went:

      1) Recognized something was impossible and woke up instantly
      2) Thought that something seemed very strange, did a RC, dream started to fade out so I rubbed my hands. That still didn't work and I woke up after like 3 seconds. (too excited)
      3) Randomly realized I was dreaming with no RC. Noticed a lot more than LD #2, I was in a parking lot outside a hotel. I focused my attention on my hands and used verbal commands, like "Stabalize Lucidity", and stayed calm. This time it felt much more real (I could feel myself breathing and it was sunny), but my hands started to fade out even though I was focusing on them really hard.

I know that you usually wake up fast from your first few LDs, but how many do I need to have before I can stay in the dream? Or a better question might be how long until my brain gets used to it?

For me, it was about after the first 5-10, I started to get used to it. It will happen eventually, and even when you do wake up, your eyes won't open, you will wake up from it with your eyes closed, and then you can try to DEILD. That's what I do.

MY first LD was pretty controlled but i couldn't remember most of it. The 3 after that though were like sweet! I'm dreaming, damn, I'm awake. I'll tell you when they start lengthening

It's really just the fear/excitement factor that you have to work with. Once you get used to the idea of lucid dreaming, and get used to the environment, it'll seem almost natural and you won't wake up.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I've had the same problem. It's been around a month since my first (and so far only) lucid, and in that dream I woke up right away. (Which didn't bother me much because I would have been woken up around 30 seconds after that, anyway)

A few weeks before that, I almost had one, and was doing a reality check, but I got woken up a few seconds before I would have been lucid.

My fourth lucid was the first that was long and stable.

These are my lucids I have achieved so far.

1st) 1min, but with lots of dream control .
2nd) 1min before losing lucidity, and not much dream control.
3rd) 30sec, teleported before dream faded.
4th) Ages, but not much dream control and lost lucidity sometimes with FAs.
5th) Quite long, did lots of dream control but lost lucidity.
