I think I may have found my technique! TRANQUIL TOAD!!

Thank you, Tranquil Toad. You suggested meditation and that works great for me apparently. For WILDing! I went in my room to meditate this afternoon. I was tired so I laid down to do it. I did as Tranquil Toad said and I just observed my thoughts as I would clouds, not trying to manipulate them... Then I went into SP. I was SO excited! I told myself I would open my eyes into an LD! it worked! (Sorta!) So anyway I was in a semi-lucid dream. I had very little control at the time. But I think that's it..

If I can wake myself up after 5-6 hours of sleep and try this, who knows how far I could get!?

You see. I've tried WILD before. I tried counting my breaths, black dot technique etc. it never worked. I was too focused on my body for some reason.

I discovered that to succesfully WILD you need to focus on the mind, not the body at all.. Meditation is my muse! The only thing I have found to work for WILD. The missing puzzle piece. Thank you, Tranquil Toad.

Now, I must hone my personalized WILD (lol) so I can have better control.. (:
      Goals:
Consistently for two weeks recall at least one dream per night [ ]

      Glad it worked!

Meditation is especially beneficial because you are putting your conscious mind into a state of sleep while maintaining awareness. I don't know the details on the brain waves, but you get similar patterns if you look at the brain waves of someone in deep meditation and someone who is asleep.

If you can maintain awareness in this state, you can imagine how it would be helpful for lucid dreaming, and WILD in particular like you mentioned.
