      ThirdIris Workbook

      Hello,

I've been practicing lucid dreaming for a while now, but I have been neglecting it for a bit lately. Real life has been too busy and stressful. I really don't want to lose all the progress I have made, so I am making an effort to devote more time to it. I haven't tried out many of the induction techniques, but I have had relative success with the DILD method by keeping track of my dream signs and doing reality checks.

Sometimes my recall is amazingly detailed and vivid, and sometimes it is non-existent. I find that I tend to have more vivid and memorable dreams if I wake up in the early hours of the morning for a brief period, and then return to bed.
I have experimented a bit with some allegedly dream-enhancing herbs before bed, but I am not sure that these make a consistent difference for me.

I guess my main goals are to have LDs more frequently and to have greater control while in them.

I had a great one the other night where I was able to create my own doorways by drawing them with the tip of my finger and then pushing them open. There was nothing that interesting on the other side, however, as I am still having trouble effectively changing my dream scene.

      Well, that's all for now.

Am I supposed to journal in here, or just make brief remarks about my progress?

      -Jo

Hi and welcome! It sounds like you're the kind of person who would start having them regularly, and often if you put some effort into it. Being able to recall everything that good is a real plus, and don't worry about not being able to recall something some nights, everyone can get that.

You should try the MILD technique, if you're having an easy time with DILD then I'm sure MILD will work just as well.

You can journal in here or in your DJ. It's all up to you I do want you to post your progress here from time to time. That way I can give you advice and everyone else too.

Good luck and keep on dreaming!
