Good idea...now I'll actually have a use for my second and third bedrooms. Wait, do normal people usually have more than one bedroom? |

This is a rather simple technique, that I have been doing for about a month. What you need is a few different bedrooms you can use. You have your normal room you normally sleep in at least 4-5 days a week, then switch it up with another when you want to have a lucid dream. Before you sleep in the seldom used "strange room" remember that your in the not normal "strange room" what has happened is for me, when I have false awakenings I will be in my "normal room", and it can be jarring, my subconscious room recreation imagery must work separately from conscious thought. The other night I woke knowing that I was in the "strange room" if I was just in the same room I would've just thought I was dreaming, but since I saw the room I was not in, instant lucid. This isn't much of a technique more than it is just an idea of sorts. One thing I did was make sure the one room had mirrors the other does not, something obviously different. Anyone else do anything close to this? Any ideas to improve this? |

It's so nice to be back on the real site, everything went crazy as soon as I made this thread. The Russians have been defeated tho. I actually use a living room as my ld room. It's real strange to see a room you know your not in, it's freaky. |

This is an interesting idea. Unfortunately I have a tendency to sleep walk so sometimes I WISHED I was dreaming whenever I wake up somewhere not in my bed. Maybe I can use the reverse of this and do reality checks when I wake up in my own bed. xD |

I've actually experienced this before... albeit unintentionally. I went to visit my mother in Florida some time ago, which I used to live for a few years, but I slept in the "guest room" down the hall from my old room. I remember waking up completely confused and quite sure I was dreaming, it took me a few tries waking before I knew exactly where I was and that I wasn't dreaming. |

I use this trick sometimes. I will WILD on the couch, or in a spare bedroom. I get wacky dreams whenever I travel, so this makes sense. |

I've done this a lot before and it's a good way to Help get lucid |
