I like Taosim and Buddhism. In fact I would say Buddhism has helped me immensely. I don't know a ton about confucius except some of his axioms. I'm an avid fan of paranormal research. I don't buy into a whole lot when it comes to ghost phenomenon and stuff like that. But I love exploring these ideas. I have astral projected before. From personal experience, I am certain that the mind is not what we think it is. It is more like a network, if anything.

I agree with many aspects of Buddhism. My views on the paranormal. I cant prove it but i HAVE had experiences. I would love to try AP, I meditate when I can, and thats pretty awesome.

I only have a view on Buddhism. And it is a good one. I also think that it or something similar should be the main religion of the world. A lot of people need that part of them fulfilled, whatever it is, and Buddhism is the most credible religion there is.

No, it doesn't. It's just that it sort of merged with other culture's religions. That's how they helped enlighten people of other cultures, by sort of infecting their religion

I like Budd - It's a good beer. I dunno about paranormal stuff, but i've had a few weird things i can't explain happen, and when i was younger i swear to god i saw a white figure walk down stairs and infront of me smiling and dissapearing in the other room. I dunno about AP, i've never tried it.

Every religious and spiritual scripture/book/text I've read from Taoism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity bible, Celestine Prophecy, Osho Quotes, Way of the Peaceful Warrior, Wisdom of the Peaceful Warrior, Carlos Castaneda, Eckhart Tolle, Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol, every experience I've had, every psychedelic drug experience I've read.... all of it points back to living deeply in the present moment. I don't think it gets any more simpler than present moment awareness. There is no good or bad outside of duality and ego mind there is only experience, peace, rest, access to unlimited creativity, and beauty every where you look Good or bad, happiness, sadness, misery you relax and enjoy it all..it's all just a ride with many ups and downs so there really is no reason to get upset about anything. Relax in whatever emotion your in so you can go to the next one. Focus on and serve other people, it will help take you further out of the egoic mind You will die one day. Enjoy earthly pleasures. Enjoy pain and suffering. Enjoy passion. But don't become attached to these things, always return to the present moment..It is home, no past no future, no self-no problems, just existence. Be a witness to it all

I'm a little at odds with Buddhism because I can't accept the first premise that life is suffering (someone please educate me if I'm missing some point...), I simply don't operate under this perspective. But Buddhists have essentially reverse-engineered the human mind, which is cool. I relate to and appreciate Taoism much more, if only as a perceptual system. I try to shape my thoughts with respect to Tao. My knowledge of other beautiful philosophies such as Confusionism is sadly impoverished.

Life isn't suffering, life is... I dunno. But desire causes suffering. Desire is the birth of samsara or suffering through infinite potential desiring manifestation. Form is born of desire for form. Suffering is born from impermanence. All structures are finite and eventually cause suffering. If you don't get what you want, you suffer. If you get what you don't want, you suffer. If you get what you want, you suffer when it's gone.

That makes sense as one way of framing the problem of suffering, I just don't find it the way most harmonious with my own perspective. But to the extent that my singular perspective can be narrow and confining, I can relate and appreciate it. I just don't have much use for it as a practical, everyday guiding principle. A much more default guiding principle that I operate on is living in the moment, in the world, enjoying the journey, marginalizing destinations and goals. So, the problem of suffering gets framed differently by default for me, and this is why I find Taoism more harmonious with my default mindset. The aspects of Buddhism I most appreciate are the parts that have been intertwined into Taoism anyway, such as Zen. That, and what I said about the reverse-engineering approach to psychology, which is awesome.

The moment is the doorway to face the fear that desire creates. In that way, they still have the same solution to the problem.
