If your Attitude's Right, the Facts Don't Matter

I've been thinking about the Law of Attraction lately and I realized if you think of it like directions on how to bake a cake, books like the Secret leave out really important ingredients and have the directions all scrambled up, and books like Celestine Prophecy are misleading because they explain theory through stories that never happened. While some people have accidentally scrambled the directions the correct way and managed to tap into the power, 99% of people either followed the incorrect directions or scrambled them up the wrong way. Because of this, there's not only an animosity in the general population against The Secret but against the law of attraction in general.

Whenever someone tells you to dream big, they're setting you up for failure. You got to find that sweet spot of high desire combined with high believability. To test this out, write down everything you desire and mark a number between 1 and 10 next to each desire, 1 being not so important to you and 10 meaning you want it more than anything in the world. Next, mark another number between 1 and 10 relative to what you think your chances are to getting it in the next 6 months. 1 means you think you could never accomplish it, 10 means you could have it tomorrow or at most in 6 months.

Now focus on all the desires that fall between 8 and 10 for both numbers. That's the sweet spot that gets ignored. Acolyte Magicians are always taught to start small and train their brains to comprehend their power. As your brain begins to believe it is capable, it becomes capable.

A good way to test this is by checking the way the desire makes you feel. If it makes you feel doubtful, your belief is too low. If it doesn't ignite enthusiasm in you, your desire is too low. Consider the mind like a radio wave or rather the matter that makes up your form like a vibration set to your mental attitude, capable of both sending and receiving information across space and time instantaneously. By focusing on the positive feeling your desire gives you, you are vibrating out a signal attracting the manifestation of that desire. To speed the process, you can turn this signal up by turning up the emotion inside of you, gauging the signal strength with the passion vibrating in you, and you can also sustain this signal by creating reminders for yourself. The key is to achieve a level of unconscious competence where you are broadcasting a life-improving signal naturally, without conscious effort.

Life is complex and we do not have the facts on our side all the time, in fact our perception of reality makes up an infinitely small fraction of the whole and because of this, it is often better to be vague rather than specific. The most vague but often best signal to send out is simply to Feel Good Right Now. Good can mean secure, content, thrilled, excited, anything. Whichever of these feelings you desire but are lacking, focus on that right now. Turn up the signal strength and sustain it, and watch the magic work.

The best book I have read on the law of attraction from a scientific viewpoint is, 'Cybernetic Transposition' by Stuart Lichtman.

Please click on the links below, more techniques under investigation to come soon...

It's asserted as a fact that X will never occur.
      X occurs.

Does that mean that facts don't matter or that the non-occurrence of X was mistakenly asserted as a fact? What does fact even mean?

Looks like a good exercise though.

You practice, you try, you think you get it and then you don't.

Of course its easy for a skeptic to look at all the failed law of attraction attempts to say it just doesn't work. But you have to know yourself and you need to be brutally honest with yourself. 99.9% of people practicing the law of attraction don't know what it is they truly desire!! They don't know what their fears are. Or how their preconceived ideas of the world stop them. Worse, they use of LOA in hopes to gain happiness.

People are so confused with the LOA. They hear "positive emotions" and "manifesting what you want" - and they thought the two were related....!

This is what happened to me - for years I tried to get a new better job. I was struggling, I mean after three years of job hunting I was still making min. wage. I had this idea that I was failing to secure a better job because I didn't feel positive towards it, and its ruining any interview I walk in. I went so far as to think that I had to "love" my new job. And I tried so hard. And I tried even hard to find the job I could love!

And.............it never worked. Deep down inside I LOATHE ALL JOBS. I'm lazy. I never ever want to work!! And I was started to feel physical stress as I tried to want something (a job) when I don't give a damn about working! (I just want to sleeep in)

I realized I wasn't being honest with myself, and I had broken the golden rule taught by genuine gurus of the LOA. ONLY FOCUS ON WHAT YOUR HEART DESIRES. Absolutely nothing more. I changed how I felt. I told myself I am happy regardless of whatever job I get, because a job doesn't determine or take away from my happiness. That my happiness was completely independent of any job. I'd like to thank xaqaria for helping me realize this.

This liberated me from years of LOA struggle trying to figure out "well which job am I supposed to love so I can attract it" because it was a completely moot!! IT DOESN'T FLIPPIN MATTER!!

I simply got on craigslist and applied to the first thing that caught my eye, and I was like "there done! yay!". I get a phone call the next day, I'm hired, its my highest paying job, its actually within my BFA field, and it saved my ass because I only had a week to get a job else I'd miss rent.

Thats what I call MAGIC! Three years of struggling versus completely letting go and magic happening within a week.

Calling this the law of attraction is so misleading. I'd call it the law of surrendering, because you need to let go of your aching desires and just experience total and complete bliss now. (seriously)

What if we cant think of a goal that ignites excitement? Does this mean we should instead focus on first wanting to find something (vague term) that does? Or does the law not quite work like that?

A warrior does not give up what he loves, he finds the love in what he does

Only those who attempt the absurd can achieve the impossible.

Typically it means you are so conditioned to believe you will be disappointed that you have shut off your excitement. One thing you can work on is simply feeling better. Allow yourself, for no reason at all, to feel better than you currently feel. Then, if possible, allow yourself to feel even better than that. Then, for as long as possible, sustain that good feeling. Continue sustaining it until it's no longer a conscious effort and you can simply tap into that automatically. As your life circumstances change to justify this feeling, it will enable you to remove doubt and become more excited about things you want.

and philosopherstoned, I'm not speaking in a way as to avoid paradox. I'm simply stating that a good attitude is 99.999% of the battle. When we consider a desire, we tend to jump straight into asking ourselves how it can be obtained. This is unnecessary. The "how" is by cultivating a feeling of appreciation and joy within our minds and allowing the world to match this vibration.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
