      Demons.

I don't want to argue. I won't argue. I just want to know if others here on DV have had any experiences with demons before - anything from simple conversation to full exorcism... what'cha know?
(Also, names if you're comfortable sharing them.)

Yes. Maybe there's not much I can say about that without constructive argument though, because my demon didn't seem to fit the standard paradigms very well.

It did not have a name, at least not that it would share with me, and I asked a few times. Unlike people, which have relatively fixed identities that are connected to their bodies and their memories, its identity seemed to be more fluid. Like people, I doubt that demons exist outside of a particular context, but that context isn't tied to the life of a body. I suspect that the thoughts of the demon have a physical basis, but they can be spread across a number of people who's thoughts relate them to the demon.

Interesting perspective, there. I've never heard of that sort of dispersion before.
Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week; you have a schedule, a calendar... Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures.
A fear of time running out.

I've had all sorts of experiences with demons. I won't bore you with the details but I will say that I wasn't one of them from the beginning. It wasn't until repeat visits, experiences, and exorcisms did they finally rub off on me.

I guess it's true what they say, you are what you hang out with.

Might not do as they do, but you are nonetheless one of them.

      Bore? Me? With details?
Lay it on out there, man. I'm always game for someone's account of the other side.

I don't believe in demons at all, though I have met dream characters that claimed they were demons, some that just looked like demons, and some that pretended like they weren't demons, but that I could tell were supposed to be demons. The last can be very convincing, and can actually manipulate your dreams. It is probably the reason people believe in those sort of things, like demons or dream guides in dreams.

When I reach higher states of consciousness, the closest thing to a "demon" is an extremely depressed/angry person. You can see the aura in their face. It's nothing that can hurt you.

The truth is, it doesn't get any worse than fear and depression. It only gets better from there.

Demons do exist obv, but the word "demons" is pretty deceiving since it comes from the judeo xtian religion which called "demon" all but angels.

Amongst "demons" you'll find ancient deities from egypt or other ancient civilisations.

There are may ways to work with them : the ceremonial magic is one type with the "Goetia" (lesser key of solomon grimoire) and you have all kind of modern type of evocation (there are many author), not to forget the golden dawn type of evocation.

For a quick look at the 72 demons of the goetia type in google "List_of_demons_in_the_Ars_Goetia" and you will find them all.

I can't say I've ever come across a "demon" per se, but I was warned by my Master on a few occasions to make some preparations on the physical plane before venturing into the "upper" / "outer" limits especially if I were to go it alone...

there is not an unique way to work with spirits
as long as you remain courteous and treat them with respect there shouldn't be any problem
