Experimenting with Psychokinesis

Partly because of curiosity and partly because of wanting to fling stuff in the air (>

), I've decided to experiment with Psychokinesis (Telekinesis, Pryokinesis, and the like.)

For starters, I'll be doing this "tutorial", the card exercise 1 on that page.
The goal of that exercise is to have the card the last card you draw. Because I'm new, I have it at a 10-card range. This will lower as a I get better. I forgot to run a control, but common sense dictates that the card will be found one every 52 times.

I'll be doing a 20 trial session each day until I get them all, with the card I picked as the last card. Not the 10th to last, LAST card. Then I'll move on to exercise #2.

I will shuffle, pick the card, shuffle until the card appears "green" (more on that later), then draw 7 cards. I'll repeat that until I find the card.
Here's the results of my first trial:
1: Yes, 5th to last card drawn
2: Yes, 5th to last card drawn
3: No
4: No
5: No
6: Yes, 9th to last card drawn
7: No
8: No
9: No
10: No
11: Yes, 2th to last card drawn (Best yet!)
12: Yes, 5th to last card drawn
13: No
14: No
15: No
16: No
17: Yes, 6th to last card drawn
18: No
19: No
20: No
So it's about 1/4 of the time. Given that the average of drawing one should be 1/52....

If the first card is safe to draw, it appears colored green in my mind. A bright, 255 green color. If it isn't, a red. There's been some muddling, a redish green, and the like. I don't draw those, although it's weird that there's a "middle" zone.

So, feel free to post comments, ideas, etc.

If I understand correctly, if you are doing this right, you will be willing the card to be the last one you draw, right?

And each of these times, are you shuffling the entire 52 card deck, but only drawing a certain number of cards, so that's why you are getting "No's?" Or does a no appear when you draw the card, but it comes up too high in the deck?

Yesterday I decided I was interested in doing telekinesis. I've been researching into it, and decided to post a topic here AND YOU POSTED THIS!

Anyway I'm trying hard with a pen or rolled up bit of paper. Trying not to get impatient - I understand it requires focus, concentration, and time.

I'm shuffling the entire deck and drawing 7 cards at a time. I continue until I finish the deck and/or reach the card. If it's too high in the deck (the 11th to last one and up) that's when I get a no.

Well, Loaf, from what I understand, it's better if you start from where I'm starting. It's a lot easier, and will help develop the control.

I want telekinesis for both practicality and fun. Is the tomato sauce too far away to reach? Bring it closer (actually, I'm not sure if an object like that is too heavy).

Or at least push cans over or roll pens about, to kill time.

I'd like to develop psychometry... haven't really done any research on figuring out how yet. I can kind of do it, already. I had this hilarious experience in high school where I was manipulating energy above this girl's head (freaking out her and those around us who were watching me).

I would probably say lifting anything as heavy as furniture is something not possible.

I don't know, I read an article (or FAQ or something) on the PSIPog site about how word got out that the writer was telekinetic, and was always asked to lift stuff.

Interesting.
I think is definitely possible to move, vibrate, and manipulate things using energy and thought power. However, I do wonder if making objects float is possible. I guess it would take a lot of practice to even begin to achieve this kind of thing.

This girl had her head down on her desk, and I don't know what made me think about it, but I passed my hand very calmly above her head... probably a good 4-5 inches of room, it wasn't very close at all.

And she sat up with such a start, completely freaked out. She said it felt like all the skin on her head just stood up!

I played the fool for the first couple of times I did this to her, then told her what I was doing

There was a couple of buddies watching us and they were pretty amazed by all this

You should say what card number you got it on when you get a "no" as well as a "yes"...

Also, the probability that the card will be in the last 10 is 10/52 (I believe... I was never very good at probability), not 1/52. The probability that it will be the very last card is 1/52. Still, 1/4 > 1/5 (which is approximately 10/52).

The person on the site said that you have to be careful with the dice exercise because if you try to predict the number rather than force one it's precognition instead of telekinesis. I wonder if you'd have to be careful with the card exercise as well, since if you're trying to predict when your card won't be on the top... -shrug- Either way, it's a neat trick if you can get it to work.

Anyways, I tried this, just with a 6 sided pencil that was marked on one side. I had 60 trials, and was able to force it 1/3 of the time.
