Workbook thread! I've already got a dream journal that I try to update pretty much every day, but I don't normally do reality checks. Just did a nose plug RC to start it off.

As far as recurring elements or dream signs go, I've got....

Mall Schools: This one hasn't happened so much lately, but I can remember it happening for pretty much as long as I've been going to school. Often (it used to be practically every time) when I dream of being at school, it'll actually be a gigantic mall being used as a school, with different stores being different classrooms and etc., but with a bunch of people still just walking around, too. I can't remember a time it's ever been the same mall from one dream to the next, either, it's just always some random, crowded, intensely-designed mall.

The Jungle: This place has only started appearing in my dreams somewhat recently, and it's been a little while since I've seen it again, but it definitely appeared enough to be considered some kind of sign. Whenever I'm there there's some mystical feeling to it, something really bizarre or intense going on, or some complex story being shown in third-person that involves another area of the jungle as some special spiritual-type place. I've been lucid there twice, and the first time I just wandered around (the second time I was distracted). It has a very magical feel to it, like my full potential could be unlocked there.

The Badass Girl: This DC has appeared twice, but that's one more time than any other DC I've ever seen. The fact that I saw her more than once is pretty bizarre for me. The two times I saw her she had different haircuts, but she was wearing the same type of dark (mostly black) clothes that was sort of rave clubby mixed with normal beaten street clothes. A little hard to describe exactly, but... it looks pretty badass.

She obviously has a very strong will going by her demeanor, and I suspect she may be a dream guide, or something. The first time I saw her she demonstrated amazing super speed with perfect control, and the second time I saw her she copied herself and used two bodies at once. Notably, no other DC I've ever seen has used powers, either.

Middle School/High School: Despite actually being in college but not even having taken a class at all for a year and a half, a very large number of my dreams take place in middle and high school classes.

And then of course, the shows I watch far too frequently, like How I Met Your Mother.

I like the Badass girl. I think it's pretty badass that she's not someone you know in real life but has appeared in more than one dream. The only fictional DC that ever appeared in more than one dream for me is that damn demon.

The jungle one is definitely interesting.... I want to get back there again! It has such a powerful mystical feel to it.

I know!! And she's soooo cool, the vibe she gives off is so intense.

Had a dream about a mall... wasn't a school though. :/ But it probably would've been if I hadn't woken up right after getting there. Hmmm....

Also, I've been doing several reality checks a day.

I've got a post-it note on my bathroom side mirror over the medicine cabinet. :3

I got two lucids last night! And one of them was from a dream sign that never even occurred to me.

Permanently Full Mouth: Very occasionally, I'll have this thing happen in dreams that comes in two varieties. The first one is that there'll suddenly be a bunch of already-chewed (so unidentifiable) food in my mouth, like enough that I couldn't really talk through it or anything and my mouth does feel pretty full, and no matter how much I try to chew it up more and swallow it or eventually just try to spit it out it never goes away, like some will disappear but it will never reduce the amount currently in my mouth. The second one is that all of my teeth will start falling out but all my teeth will also still be in their place, so more and more teeth just keep falling out and are simultaneously being chewed by my teeth that are in place, and then the same thing happens with them as the chewed-up food. Usually this just makes me really confused and I stop focusing on anything else in the dream, so it falls apart and I wake up.

I got lucid from the first one last night.

Gotta remember to put it in my DJ in a bit!

Awesome Aly!!!!! Know what, I had a dream yesterday that I had a mouth full of plastic, and no matter how much I pulled out, there was still some in my mouth. We're like, psychic sisters

Weird though, huh?

Anyway, congrats on the lucid! i look forward to reading them.

I think my daily noseplug RCs are working! I finally started using them in dreams.

I've also had dreams where my mouth is really weird. Most of the time, it's like my teeth and gums are all made of rubber or plastic. I could even taste it!

Well, I already mentioned it once.

But basically just a variety of strange things, like suddenly having chewed up food in my or various junk in my mouth that I can't get all out no matter how many tiny pieces I pull out, and since I focus on it more it never goes away. Also sometimes my teeth will start falling out but... not. Like, there will still be teeth in the spots the teeth fell out of, and I'll start chewing so I'm chewing my own teeth, and it just keeps happening more and more.

Other times it'll just feel like really weird textures, like paigeyemps gets. And sometimes it'll feel really weird and dry and give me a panic attack.

Though I don't really get that one anymore. Every single time it's ever happened except for this time when it got me lucid it would bother me until it woke me up.

I need to tag someone else now.

I actually had the mouth thing happen again the other night, though I didn't catch it to become lucid. >.< It was a very... bizarre alteration. Both my top and bottoms rows of teeth popped out, still totally connected, like dentures, and in their place I already had entirely new sets of teeth. When I finally figured that out I took the old ones out and looked in a mirror and saw that my teeth were really demonic and fanged, and some of them were falling out so I had to put them back in and use the blood to keep them on like an adhesive.

Afterwards my mouth was suddenly full of what felt like sawdust, which kept me utterly confused until I woke up.

I did become lucid the other night.

Not really anything substantial, though. But I've got a good feeling about tonight.

And I just did a RC. >w<

Oh Aly your mouth dreams are just....ughhh. It reminded me of one I had when I was young, where I had teeth come out all connected. It reminded me of when you cut corn off the cob and some come off all attached together. Yucky yucky mouth dreams. Maybe we should RC when we brush our teeth

Teeth dreams are so weird! Apparently my mom gets the teeth-falling-out one a lot. Maybe it just runs in the family.

I'm gonna try to remember to do that RC now.

I heard from my graduate student friend years ago, back when he was studying symmetry and psychology, that dreams of teeth falling out are representative of a desire for sex or repressed sexual urges.

Of course that's just what I heard. I'm so glad I don't have them. I would likely be terrified and crying, and I might stop eating.

I remember my shrink parents saying something about Freud and losing teeth and orgasms.

Though I find nothing orgasmic about losing, chewing upon, nor spitting out said teeth.

I had a revelation today. My activity on DV for the last seven days is at 100%, and I've been thinking all week that activity's been really slow since most of the people I chat with regularly haven't been online much. All I do is sit here for most of the day staring at the main forum page or refreshing threads that get updated. ._. I might try to get started on this again lol.

What week is the class in now?
