      New dream sign: Being chased

In many of my recent dream I am being hunted down which should suck, but it doesn't at all. I've notice that ever since I've gotten into lucid dreaming my dreams are more in my favor. Like in the past things would almost never go how I wanted them to. They weren't bad dreams and most of my dreams were pleasant in the first place. But anytime I tried to do something of importance something would alwau=ys keep me from succeeding. That could be a malfunction in the gun i was trying to shoot or me just not being able to move properly. Now however I am able to win and be a hero in my dreams. I often kill whoever was hunting me down. This applies to other situations too, not just the ones where its a matter of life and death. I just able to do things as I would want to do them. Things just don't go wrong for no reason like they used to.

Ahhh that's very good to hear, RommiH! And hopefully when you get lucid, you can do even better things you like!

      Keep it up :3

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

My 6 year old cousin is making it very hard for me to have any sort of progress in dreaming. He keeps waking me up to ask me if I'm still tired... Today i got close to a WILD via the WBTB method. BUt my cousin came in to wake me up for whatever reason. Though technically I was awake.

Awwwwww kids.. I understand. My son likes to wake up early and play xbox. It used to be too loud but I got a box fan for my room. White noise heaven. Of course a fan wouldn't do me much good if Chris was physically trying to wake me up. Buy your cousin an xbox

Also, congrats on having more control in your dreams. Or rather, less device malfunction in them.

haha he as a wii and its the greatest thing thats ever happened to him he claims.

Yup my dreams are a lot more pleasant now. Last night I looked for a gun in the last place I would find one and found a pistol, and it worked just fine.

I also noticed increased awareness in many of my dreams. I don't become lucid but I'll say, think, or do things that suggest that deep down I know I'm dreaming. It happens a lot too.Something happened last night... I could remember it when I woke up. But I forgot it. I need to start recording my dreams the INSTANT i wake up. I've lost like 4 dreams these last two days due to my incompetence.

Very nice, very nice indeed. That's one step closer to becoming lucid! When you get used to doing that, that would be very ideal for spontaneous lucidity.

Also, yea you kinda have to have more gusto in writing the dreams down. Even when you think "I will remember this later", YOU most probably WILL NOT! So write them down, and resist all urges! (like going back to sleep) Hahahaha. Or if that's quite hard, you may use the trick Ophelia said: Attach visual clues relating to your dream. Then merge all those in a single image. For example you had a dream about reading a book, a dream about snakes, and a dream about the ocean. You can just remember an image where you're at the beach holding a book with snakes on the cover. That way, it's easier to remember all of them when you wake up.

Haha awesome! Congrats on the lucid. I have "failed" at the task before, but I'm always pleased when I can achieve lucidity. I think we had to summon a duck and chase it. I managed to summon clay and almost had enough time to sculpt it into a duck before waking up. This was years ago, I'm much better at it now. But something I do remember from that same lucid, was how realistic the carpet felt (I was in the living room at the time of the attempted task). I remember sitting on the floor, rubbing my hands all over the carpet. I had some visual snow which made it look all weird, but the feeling was spot on.

Anyway, I read the dream. Lol at the possible trashcan-lightpole spaceship Sorry you didn't manage to get into space. I think when I finally get around to attempting this task, I may just use my mirror as a portal. I'm working on designating certain series numbers of knocks on the mirror as a way to pick the destination. 3 knocks = Alien World. I'll let you know if it works!

So I haven't really been active here.. I dont really have anything to report /share/ say. My recall is 0 most nights. It really sucks. Ever since the last LD I haven't had any success/progress. These last two nights were some what better. I recalled a dream about some girl in purple hugging me for a loooooong time this morning. The day before that I did the body asleep / mind awake thing. It was cool. I just sorta woke up sometime during the night and felt SP coming. I knew that if I just relaxed again I would enter it. Sure enough, I did. (Once I relaxed it happened right away. It wasn't like WBTB a more lengthy process of relaxing and falling asleep consciously. The moment I make the intention it happens.) It's weird though how every time I enter SP I know that its coming before it happens. Like I know if I roll over it will happen. I just know waaay before the signs appear. This knowing only happens when I wake up randomly throughout the night still somewhat asleep when my mind is barely awake enough for conscious and aware thinking. So I relaxed and I fell through the bed. I kept falling and falling. I felt the usual vibrations. This time i decided to wait all of that out and see what would happen. I usually do something while this is happening. It took some time but finally all the ruckus stopped. I moved my fingers. I opened my eyes into a FA that I failed to recognize as a dream.

You get SP on a regular basis? That's pretty good RommiH, at least that should give you plenty of opportunities to try again! Are you in the habit of RCing/being aware of your surroundings when you wake up? Yeah, it sucks that you didn't catch the FA, but think of the positives! That's definitely progress you noted. I guess you could try to visualize a dream scene while you observe the vibrations, just take it slow. I'm sure that if you experiment with it more, you'll find out what works best for you.

Why has your dream recall dropped? Any idea?

Yeah pretty often I'll find myself falling into it or about to fall into it. RCing when I wake up is a habit now. Its the first thing I do when I wake up.
It has been almost a month since I last logged onto DreamViews. Well since I was last on here I have had many many LDs. I'm very good at WILDs. When I wake up I just get comfy and go back to sleep aware. It takes me like 5-10 minutes. I also attain spontaneous lucidity in dreams without any reason to such as a dream sign or something odd. So now I want to work on making my LDs last longer not having them in the first place. My dreams dont end when I gain lucidity but I want them to last long so I get the chance to spend a lot of time learning to fly. For some reason I am not able to fly in my dreams. I have tried so many times but fail. I do have issues with my DJ though. I dont record my dreams anymore.... I'm a slow typer so I'm always too lazy to record these long elaborate dreams that I have. Strangely, my recall has not gone down. In fact it has improved since I have last been here. But I still need to start recording my dreams again.
