I first dipped my feet into the waters of lucid dreaming in 2010, and up until later in 2011, was doing a fairly okay job with dream recall and WILD and DILD. Nowadays, I only have—and remember—a lucid dream, at most, about three or four times a month. It would be quite fun to experience these more often—and, of course, improve dream recall, and getting in "mo' practice, mo' practice, mo' practice" is never bad!

One of my goals, aside from becoming a better lucid dreamer, is to find more fantasy and adventure in my dreams, which is, for some reason, quite a tricky feat in my dreaming mind. I have no problem visualizing in my daydreaming as I let my imagination run off, but my dreams have a strong tendency of being stuck in realism and nostalgia of past times.

As for dream signs, the big three I often see in my dreams include:

      - Being on a school campus should be largest sign that I could be dreaming, yet, when I am there in the metaverse, I don't even remotely consider this, which never fails to astound me.

      - The rendering of my hands in dreams are often distorted when I look at them. They will be missing digits or have digits of incorrect sizes. If that doesn't catch my attention, sometimes when I move my fingers out I notice they can bend outside of their expected range of movement. For these reasons, taking a look at my hands is my favorite reality check, and when I'm aware and reasonable enough, this does a good job of triggering a DILD.

      - The oddest sign yet: restrooms in public places (including dorms) are frequently maze-like (did I just walk into the Fibonacci sequence?) and often contain, in addition to the standard restroom apparatuses, features such as furnished study areas, mini-libraries, private computer rooms (there always seems to be at least one Macintosh PowerPC somewhere in here), and shower areas. The actual toilet ends up behind one or more corridors of other stalls. This strangeness is a bit better at making me at least question if I'm dreaming or not.
