Hello again guys and gals. We'll keeping in line with the theme of refreshing the basics. The next chat is going to be this Saturday, again at 6pm CST, if I recall correctly. (There's talk of maybe having a short session on Thursday too! So if you can't make it Saturday, try to drop in on Thursday. ^^ )

Dream Signs, Reality Checks, and Stabilizing!

A.) We will talk a little bit about Dream Signs! What qualifies as a good dream sign? What's the purpose of a dream sign?

"Dream signs are a very intuitive method, which itself harnesses a degree of awareness. One is supposed to take notice of those things which appear frequently both in waking life and one's dreaming life. So, if you go biking all the time, and you dream about biking all the time, one should consider if one is dreaming anytime one is biking!"

B.) Reality Checks! Will just refresh on some of the many reality checks that we all use, share some experiences, etc. Some people use reality checks primarily as a way to become lucid, while others only do reality checks to make sure that they are dreaming for sure when they already are lucid.

(About to jump outta of that 6 story window and fly around? Try a reality check first!)

Reality Checks - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views Here's a good list to give you some ideas of how creative you can get with reality checks.

C.) Last, but definitely not least, is Stabilization. So, now you're lucid. Next step is to try and stay that way! There are all kinds of different ways to stabilize. Feeling the ground, spinning in the dream, examining your surroundings...licking the nearest object.

Anytime you feel the dream is fading/you're waking up, that its very foggy or low quality, take a minute to stabilize it. Get creative. Anything that involves the 6 senses is a good idea really-- textures, visuals, smells, tasting things...anything that gets you involved with the dream.

And here's a shameless plug of one of my recently discovered stabilizing tricks: http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-cont...anting-om.html
