      Vance's Workbook

      Reality Checks:
      - X on my hand will act as a reminder to question reality
      - Every time I step over a threshold, I will question reality.
      - Every hour, I will think back to how I got to be where I am.

      Dream Signs:
      - Flashing Red Lights (REM DREAMER)
      - Detective Benson from Law and Order: SVU.
      - Characters not being in their typical location/interacting in the typical way

      Short-Term Goals:
      - Become lucid and become more involved with the dream. Kinda observe the dream and watch everything play out.
      - Have some dream control in which I can determine where the dream is going.
      - Exhibit minor control - change the weather, use magic powers, fly

      Long-Term Goals:
      - Travel the world
      - Create a new world (like Inception)
      - Become magical

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
      - I can typically recall 2-3 dreams per night as long as I remind myself to do so.

      Current Technique:
      - WILD (REM DREAMER)/DILD

This is a great idea both for dream recall and for achieving lucidity. If you combine this with an attitude of critical questioning, it's also one of the most reliable reality checks around.

Ah, neat! I've never played with any of these masks before. How are you liking it so far?

Have you had a lucid dream before or will you be getting your first one with us here in the Intro Class? Anyhow, good luck and I'm looking forward to watching your progress!

I ditto CanisLucidus' s question. How is the REM DREAMER working out for you? Do you just see the flashing red lights everywhere in your dream, or does the dream try to trick you and make the lights appear as a traffic light, or an alarm, or something?

I would like to create my own world as well. Something that I can dream/think about with so much consistency that it becomes second nature for my mind to conceive, as if it were an actual place.

      Good luck!

I'm with you two on this one. It's a completely unexplored area for me. Apart from real-world areas, everything in the dreamworld is very free form for me.

The idea of building an entire world of your own sounds amazing. I've really enjoyed looking at the maps some people have drawn of their own personal dreamworlds. (If either of you is artistically inclined, I look forward to seeing yours as well when the day comes! )

I've dreamt of this one place before that has stuck with me all this time. I can see it so clearly in my head but in my dream my mind hazes out on me. Perhaps if I were to draw it out it would help give it some form of stability..

I'd love to hear how this goes for you! Sounds like a great approach. Art is not something that comes naturally for me, so I'll have to rely on some other means.
