That's a cool dream, congrats! The old movie theater sounds intriguing, especially the fact that you dream about it from time to time. Sometimes I also experience reoccurring places, even though they don't exist irl or I haven't been there irl.

I had a very vivid dream about seeing a dear departed friend. I was touring a museum and walked into some kind of a meeting room where I immediately recognized my elderly friend Alma and called out her, she turned around and said in her sweet souther drawl "Oh Honey it's so good to see you come over here so I can hug you!" I did, I ran over and hugged her as tight and long as I could, I snuggled right into her, I have missed her so much. She said "Oh, that is just Yummy!" (lol - it seemed to make sense at the time, that she loved the hug and called it that.) She was no longer frail, she didn't have a breathing tube, and she could stand without a walker. I told her I was so happy to see her and I really was. Whenever I see people who have passed I always see them as younger and healthier versions of themselves. I remember one exhibit that they were still working on because my husband and I went there next, it was a long hallway with different colors of rock stratified to represent the different eras- but the rocks were loose and my husbands math professor also happened to be walking with a friend, she told us to be careful because they were still working on the exhibit.

Once I drempt of seeing my grandfather after he passed away. I hadn't talked to him because I was a drug addict and I wouldn't return his phone calls, so when he died I felt a lot of guilt. When I saw my grandfather I was at his house in Coalinga, Ca, there was a birthday party going on in their house for a little child. The whole family was there, I didn't recognize anyone, and everyone was in 50's-60's style clothes. I saw my grandfather and my grandmother sitting and I ran to him and told him how sorry I was that I had not made him a priority in my heart and life when he was alive. I had never really known my grandmother, she was very sick when I was small and died when I was 9. In my dream my grandfather looked about 35, he was strong and tan and wore freshly pressed clothes. Next to him my grandmother wore a 50's house dress she was plump and rosy with curly hair, she was holding a doll. She just smiled at me. My grandfather said "It's alright, we are happy here, everything is good here." then I woke up. 5 yrs later when going through my father family albums I found a picture of my grandmother, she was sitting in a chair like the one I had seen, wearing a housedress, with her hair curled up around her head, she was plump, the photo was in black and white but i could see she was very healthy and happy. She smiled at the camera and in her lap she held a doll just like the one I saw in my dream. I had never seen these pictures, yet it solidified a feeling in me that my grandfather had actually been there to talk to me, and that wherever he was he was happy, surrounded by family I had never met, living in a time when happiness came easily to him.
