      Lagoon's Workbook

Hi! I am very excited to really begin my lucid dreaming experience with the workbook. I find that in order for me to keep motivated I need to see some form of results and this workbook will really help me with that. Lucid dreaming just sounds like one of the most amazing things you can do and to be able to do anything you want? I don't know one person who wouldn't want to do that!

      Reality Checks:
      - Nose Pinch
      - Taking my glasses off(I can barely see in real life without them)

      Dream Signs:
      - An island my family goes to every summer
      - My first dog
      - My closest friends

      Short-Term Goals:
      - Have 5 LDs that last longer than a minute by New Year's
      - Be able to get rid of the "voice inside my head" during WBTB.

      Long-Term Goals:
      - Fly
      - Talk to my dog
      - Talk to my dead grandpa
      - Talk to my subconscious

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
      - 3 "lucid" dreams (I put the quotations because they were all like 1-5 seconds long.)
      - I can usually remember 2-3 dreams a night.

      Current Technique:
      - SSILD (I set my alarm for 5 hours I fall asleep then do the SSILD cycles and hope for a DILD.)

Last night I got into bed at 9. Up until 9:40, I just relaxed and listened to one of the subliminal message things. At 9:40, I stopped and went to sleep which took around 10 minutes. I woke up naturally at around 2. I usually can't fall asleep if I stay awake for long in a WBTB so I just drank some water which was on my bedside table. I then performed some SSILD cycles and eventually found myself drifting off a lot so I decided to stop and fall back asleep. For some reason I couldn't fall back asleep for a little over 30 mins(I think). When I woke up at 6:30 I payed completely still but couldn't remember a single dream. Not even one little second of a dream. Hopefully I'll have better luck tomorrow

Went to bed around 10:40, didn't fall asleep for a good 30 minutes. Once again, another night of no dream recall. I didn't do my SSILD cycles because I wouldn't be getting any sleep if I did. When I woke up I tried remembering my dreams but the only thing I can remember is me going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I don't even know if that was a dream or not lol. Why can't I just remember to RC when I wake up

This is not a good week lol. Literally ever since I started this workbook I haven't been ble to remember a single dream. As soon as I wake up I just lay still in my bed and I might as well not be dreaming. Hopefully next week is different!

Last night I was out late at a party and had to wake up early this morning so I didn't set up anything for a lucid dream. Anyway, I woke up in the middle of the night but fell right back asleep. I was actually so close though! So I was dreaming and I don't remember but something triggered me to do an RC and I realized I was dreaming! I woke up like 10 seconds later though. Sadly I didn't realize that I actually didn't wake up but was in a FA I really need to do an RC every time I wake up.

WOW!! Last night was GREAT! Before bed, I took a Dream Leaf then I woke up 5 hours after falling asleep, took the second part of Dream Leaf then did my SSILD cycles for a while. I tried falling back asleep but couldn't. I then thought how SSILD causes FAs and RCed and I was dreaming! The first one I woke up quickly but it just kept happening! I had 3 LDs in one night. The last 2 even lasted long! I guess long for me but they were at least 5 minutes each. I rubbed my hands, spun, and touched around at everything and it felt great! I tried to fly and I sort of did for a few seconds but I couldn't really control it. Looking forward for tonight! I really wish I wrote them down when they ended but I was too tired to so they are pretty fuzzy

Congrats on your recent success, Lagoon! Is dream leaf some kind of a lucid dreaming supplement?
Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.

Thanks! Yeah it is. It is supposed to increase dream recall, make your Rem cycles longer, and make dreams more vivid. It's mostly just a combo of the different supplements. It's kind of pricey though.

      As for last night:
I did my usual WBTB and SSILD. I didn't take any dream leaf because I dont want to build tolerance and I want to be able to LD without it. Right when I fell asleep after the SSILD cycles my dog went crazy(at 3am) I couldn't fall back asleep for a while but woke up remembering just one decently long dream.

Well, Thanksgiving break was not a great experience(LDing wise) I was with family and had to sleep on an uncomfortable mattress. And there were people in my room so I couldn't use any alarms for a WBTB My dream recall went down the drain lol. I guess I'm going to take a week to get back to what I left off at. I could only remember around 3 dreams from the past week. Hopefully all will be back to normal soon

I hate myself. Lol. Last night I was literally dreaming that I was watch a YouTube video about lucid dreaming and the thought never popped into my mind to do a RC

Aw, those are indeed the worse type of fails. I recall this one time when I was dreaming about teaching lucid dreaming to my little cousins: I kept stressing the importance of reality checks...not once the possibility of that being a dream popped in my mind. They're frustrating lessons, but they make a good point
