my first lucid dream ever.... a WILD experience (nice pun, eh?)

      Hello forum.

So this is my first post here ever, and before I ask my question, I'd like to say that the movie Inception gave me the curiosity of experiencing a lucid dream. I recommend that you guys watch it if you haven't.

So, basically, I googled "lucid dream" and learned all I could about them, and the technique to have them as well. I was primarily interested at the WILD technique because I can go through sleep paralysis, at will, during most of the times I sleep. Surprisingly, I got results just 2 days after being interested in lucid dreams; I took a nap at the afternoon and went through sleep paralysis and then I focused on my belly button ( a technique I learned via googling lucid dream) and then.....

I "woke up" in my bedroom, but for 5 minutes straight, I was staring at the same part of my room, no matter how many times I turned my head around, it seems like my vision was fixed at the same part of my room. After that, I jumped on my bed to see if I could float. Surprisingly, I fell as if I were not dreaming! I decided to do a reality test; I pinched my arm and felt no pain, and then I checked if I could breathe through my nose while it was pinched. It worked.

What happened after was pretty trippy, I found a camera and took a picture of myself, and when I looked at it, the image was pretty distorted. I found myself talking to my family members and hearing their voices being squeaky high. At the same time, the dream felt so real for me.

That is pretty much my first WILD lucid dream experience and when I look back upon it, I feel like it was very trippy indeed.

So I have some questions for you guys... How do I create things in my dream? How do I experience that absolute freedom in my dream? How do I fly?

Well first of all congratulations props to you my brother in mind exploration and second I envy you because you can make sleep paralysis come and go as you please I am getting quite good I can let my body go into sleep paralysis as you do (only it took me a week to do it ) but can't seem to keep my mind awake..... keep falling asleep. But if you want to learn more about those questions click on these links. this one for flying http://www.dreamviews.com/f25/flying-tutorial-62542/ This one for control http://www.dreamviews.com/f25/dream-...utorial-67107/ and for creating things well here's a tip either close your eyes and think of it when you open them or ( the same way as changing scenery) if you have a door know that there will be ( for example) a stockpile of guns on the other side open the door BAM!!!! Guns p.s. Couldn't
find link for creating stuff also trying to help new people like myself go around and spred my knowledge to other new comers so they don't have to lurk as long as I did finding and testing stuff out well happy dreaming

If a man believes his dream is his reality when he wakes up is this now his dream or does he believe he hadn't been dreaming at all?

yea, it just seems that all i have to do is sleep early, like at 8 or 9, and usually i'll just wake up at 2 or 3 AM going through sleep paralysis.

Btw, thanks for the guides Dreamhacker.

Another point I want to bring up is that I also have OCD; does anyone know if having it will affect any part of the lucid dream? With my OCD, bad thoughts flowing through my head when I am awake are common.

Did you wake up in SP or did you induce it?
