Unhappy Not cool, I felt the pain

So before I even knew of lucid dreaming, I had had a dream a couple months back where at the end of the dream a guy had grabbed my ......(fill in blanks). The dream was going good till it turned into a nightmare. I awoke and I had the most painful pain in between my legs. I swear I almost started crying, I never thought it could hurt so much.
So now I have learned of lucid dreaming and i am doing the RC and etc. I have a dream last night that is going good. Everything is normal and right at the end the same thing happens again. Out of no where I get grabbed in their but I stay in the dream for like 10 seconds frozen from pain. I am trying to scream but it is only a whisper. I try so hard to get out and finally I wake up to the pain still their. It goes away but man..that hurts.

Does anyone have any suggestions on stopping this from happening?

I've felt pain a lot in dreams, more than I care to remember. I've also felt pain once during sleep paralysis (before I even know what it was, so imagine how scared I was!). Unfortunately there's not much to say here, other than work up your awareness levels in real life and maybe you can become lucid before the pain happens again.

I've heard some people say that feeling pain or other strong tactile sensations means the dream is very vivid, which is actually a good thing.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Cool

you probably get the pain in your crotch from real life and makes its way to the dream kinda like if your sleeping and someone is using a hammer in real life the sound of the hammer makes its way in the dream and like your dream uses the sounds of someone gettin his head pummeled back and forth on a piece of wood. so ur probably wearing to tight underwear or ur little bro hits u in the nuts and runs away

Pain is one of my dreamsigns.
Once in my dream, I got shot by gun. I could feel the bullet in my body. I then woke up, and I still felt the pain for few seconds.

It's amazing how dream pain can become real because the mind thinks it is.

I agree with the theory that you hurt your crotch IRL somehow, and it leaked into your dream. However, pain is possible in dreams-- I've experienced pain before and its not great. But usually I wake up painless.

I seem to experience pain via electric shocks, and when I stand on escalators. Seriously.
