Thread: Just Joined Looking for Some Help

Hey everyone, my name's Ben. I just joined here and am looking for a mentor. I looked in that thread but couldn't really find anyone who's interests matched mine that was still looking for people to mentor.

I've been aware of lucid dreaming for a few years now, and I've even had two lucid dreams before, both in the same morning. In the first, I knew I was dreaming but wasn't able to control or change anything in the dream; it lasted only a couple minutes before I woke up. In the next, which came very shortly after going back to bed from the first dream, I tried to fly. When I tried I got this weird feeling, really hard to describe. I couldn't see anything (darkness) but could feel the sensation of traveling at a high speed. I also got a very euphoric feeling all throughout my body, a feeling which lasted for between 5 and 10 seconds before I woke up. Upon waking up I felt a kind of weird separation from reality, again hard to describe, and which lasted for less than a minute.

Anyway, after not really being able to control the dreams when lucid, I lost interest and gave up on it -- which I know now was a mistake. I'm looking to get back into it now and would like someone experienced to mentor me.

Interests: golf, basketball, baseball, lucid dreaming obviously, fractals, OOBEs, math, religion, dream guides

I would really like to experience shared dreaming, and be able to have stable enough LDs to have conversations with DCs, find my DG, and possibly have religious experiences as well.

I know I'm supposed to wait two weeks before asking and I am definitely willing to wait that period out. But I know I will be on here daily and will not lose interest in LD or this website - too many good conversations/ideas/experiences. But again, will wait the two week trial period if absolutely necessary.
