      Hello

      Hi everyone! Just joined.

Does anyone have experience combining fasting with LDs. Many spiritual traditions encourage fasting, and my guess is that it might be beneficial.

There is no way anyone could ever convince me to fast. I love food way too much

I think the physical health risks of fasting would outweigh any possible spiritual benefit. Vivid dreams are products of a healthy, well fed mind. Mental or physical stress tends to kill dreams.

Anytime you mess with your brain chemistry, it has the possibility of messing with your dreams. I guess it could work. It would be worth a try if you are fasting anyways.

LOL! I'm not going to require that you give up your cookies, RB! If it works for me, I'll let you know. :--)

      Hi DawgBone, welcome to Dreamviews.

I remember sort of fasting when I first started LDing. I didn't eat practically all day, and it gave me a vivid dream.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Hey DawgBone! to DV!

I've experimented with food deprivation and I've found that there is a connection between lucidity and lack of food. I'm pretty sure billybob (an experienced lucid dreamer on this site) mentions it in one of his guides.

It's not something I recommend, but I definitely believe it works to some extent.
